    Dearest family and friends,

When you are invited to walk with Jesus, every day turns in a

beautiful adventure which makes it worthier to be told. So,

having so much to say and being so hard to express I will say

that through this newsletter I will do my best to let you know

what happened in the last two months. Dont forget that you

are a great and essential part in Gods amazing plan to bring

His Kingdom on this earth. God is preparing His bride for His

son in these days. It is so amazing that we are living these days;that we are getting ready to see our bridegroom coming. I

cannot wait for you to meet your brothers and sisters from

Africa. It will be such a celebration! These last 2 months I have

been traveling all over Mozambique and there are more marks

of Gods love in my life than before.

    Magiga

One village where few years ago there was no Christian and no

church. The imam muslim leader of the village is very

strong in his belief, training and teaching his many children to

serve Allah and follow his example for them to lead the

mosque in the future. But God had another plan. His older

children went to another city where they were exposed to theGospel and receive Jesus in their lives. Jamilo, one of them

came back to his home village. Julinho, one of the youngest

brothers was his father right hand: helping him at the mosque

and very open to witchcraft. He was going to be the spiritual

leader of that community. All the men from the family are

radical muslims so they tried Julinho to stop him becoming a

christian. But Gods grace carried him through all the

persecution and 2 years after he came to the Bible School. God

started to work in his life, changing his character and wiping

away everything he was carrying from his old life. Now he is

20 years old and he is one of the leaders of the new church in

    Magiga.

The new church meets in a grasssmall building and the young men

    that are coming are Julinhos

    friends mostly: coming from

    muslim background and facing a

    lot of persecution. One afternoon

one little girl (around 9 years old)

received a very heavy slap from

    her father while we were

    teaching. In seconds she was

    running away, while her father

    was screaming and threatening us.

2 hours after he came with help. With lots of hatred and anger

they started again to threaten us with the promise to destroy

the church, saying that they wanted actually to bring the little

girl there and kill her in front of us. They call themselvesgreat worriers and messengers of Allah. In this case all we

could do was to pray in silence and come against this opposing

spirit while they were speaking and when was our turn to

speak we showed no fear but also calm and authority. We are

fighters too, but not against flesh but against the principality

and spiritual stronghold over this village. They left but next

day while we were sharing about Jesus in the market, they

were there to oppose us, determined to dont let anyone to hear

about Jesus. But what they wanted to do for bad God turned it

for our good. For our surprise, many people started to come

against every argument these radical muslims were bringing

That was a great testimony in all village. The same day, we

had a big crowd of people coming to watch Jesus film, beingexposed to the Gospel for the first time. At the end of the day a

man came to our camp asking to know more about Jesus. He

was part of the crowd in the market that day.

    We had around 40

    that came for the

    Youth Conference.

    Our theme was:

    Preparing the bride

    for Jesus second

    coming. Their

    hunger brought out

    the Word of God.

We saw the greatneed of a Christian

    married couple that

would take that community to know Jesus. Again we came to

the same conclusion: The harvest is great but the workers are

few. We need a new strategy to hold the harvest, give people

courage to follow Jesus in spite of the persecution and shame

One family - majority ladies wanted to be taught more of Jesus

but there is not even one Christian lady that can help in this

area. What we have there is a group of young men that through

their amazing testimonies are bringing their friends to Jesus.

In this trip I was thinking again for an alternative in order to

stop the initiation ceremony for the children in these strong

tribes: when the boys are circumcised and the girls are initiated

in a demonic way into sexual life. A young man or girl that

never went through this ceremony is never accepted in the

community. We talked with the young men that passed

through this but now they are healed and redeemed by the

blood of Jesus and we realized that we need to create an

alternative in the church for this. To have like a training camp

separate for the girls, separate for the boys where we can teach

and train them in a biblical way how to become strong men

    and women in the community.

InRatata we went for our 2 last days before leaving. Pedro, a

graduated of AWY this year was asking us to come to his

place and show the Jesus film. When we got there his house

was full with people that heard about our coming. It was the

first time in my life when at the altar call at the end of Jesus

film we saw everybody standing up coming in front asking for

prayer. Not knowing I asked if they came for prayer for healing

but they answered: No, we need healing for our lost souls!

What a need and what a desire to stay there longer. We set a

connection with the young church from Magiga, asking them to

come and help this community. It is not us - it is the Holy Spirit

that is preparing their hearts with this hunger. But the hunger

needs to be found and alimented with Jesus. How they can hear

if nobody tells them? How someone tells if is not send?We trust Holy Spirit who is responsible for all this awakening

and for all that follows after. And we are ready to move with

Him! Ready to surrender! Ready to pour out our lives again for

    His Glory!

MacomiaIs a place where we always

want to come back. One of

    reasons for me personally is

    because of the youth from

those places which are in my

    prayers for more than 2

years. We want to see the

church arise and take astand in justice and

righteousness for this generation to live free from all the

traditional strongholds. For this trip I stepped back and let

Abdul and Josias to lead and take responsibility for the

whole team. It was great to see them serving in authority and

if was any mistake it turned out in a powerful lesson when

they were teachable. We had a youth conference and lots of

time for evangelism. We visit huts around the church but

also we went to 2 different places. One of the places was

Liucue 20 km from Macomia village. It was an amazing

experience for all of us, very similar with what happened in

Ratata. The small village is populated by maconde tribe.

And the Gospel wasnt preached there before. There is no real

road to get there and the place is full with elephants, so our trip

there was an adventure. The first night when we were coming

back after showing Jesus film we saw 2 elephants very close to

our car. Some of us just heard them. God is so good! He is

giving the desire of our hearts many times when we dont even

    expect!

That first day when we visit there people were so amazed, they

couldnt believe that someone cares for them, that God is real

and cares about them. Some of the people were ready to burn

their witchcrafts. Nando and Benito are 2 young men that

followed us even to Macomia for 4 days of the conference. Our

last Sunday we went back there and started a home group

    church in Nandos

    home. Liucue is a

    beautiful small

    village with around

    200 people. At night

    majority of them

    came and were

    exposed to the

    Gospel for the first

    time through Jesus

film. The group of men that decided to receive Jesus was

determinant to meet that night and start to study the Word ofGod. We couldnt stay as we wanted to return to Macomia that

night. Another place where we went wasMucheva, 7 km from

Macomia village. The people living there are muani tribebu

traditionally changed into macua tribe. All of them are

muslims but amazing how even there we saw the hunger and

desire to know Jesus. Our guides were muslims but at the end

of the day they understood the message of salvation so well

that they were able to transmitted alone to their neighbors

They wanted to know Jesus, the true prophet who can heal any

illness. Many of them were asking for prayer or bring their

children to pray for them. God is so good and faithful!

    Ribawe

Even it was for a very short time, Ienjoyed this trip as much as the

other ones. We were blessed to

have a visit of Pastor Ilie from

    Chicago that came specifically for

the church dedication. He is from

    a Romanian Church that supports

    me financially and spiritually for

few years and now they were able

    to help and finance the

    construction of the building

    church in Ribawe. He was

    coordinating with Pastor Armando

for almost a year and now was the time of celebration of the

hard work from both sides. It is always such a blessing to

travel and work with Pastor Armando. Pastor Ilie just enjoyed

and marveled of the mighty men of God we are blessed to have

here in Mozambique. Pastor Jose from Ribawe church is also a

great example of dedication and true heart for God. In few

months the church there just grew spiritually, not only in the

village but in 4 more new areas.

We are all so grateful to Philadelphia Church from Chicago

Genesis Mission and personally to Pastor Ilie that are such a

blessing, being part of Gods amazing plan of salvation for this

nation. After a very long trip, there was no time to rest but to

travel, minister, preach, pray, sleep in a tent and again travelpreach and minister for our guest. For 10 days we never heard

a complain, but we were blessed to have him always ready to

serve, run with us and when see the need always give with so

much care. Thank you Pastor Ilie! Thank every one of you my

friends, brothers and sisters, thank you for your love and

    faithfulness!

    Together for His glory,
