The proposai submitted to the Transition Fund by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation is based on the Government's economic and social agenda to implement far-reaching reforms to transform the country's development modal. As part of these reforms the proposed programme will focus primarily on making operational the new PPP law in a manner that promotes transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of public spending. The aim is to help the Government meet its public policy objectives through creating an enabling environment for the implementation of the ppp policy and its related institutional framework. The AfOB and the Organization for Economie Cooperation and Development (OECD) are pleased and ready ta support Tunisia in this programme. Both organizations have worked closely on helping the Government to prepare this proposaI. It ls also complementary to the AfOB's engagement strategy for the country and will contribute to implement Tunisia's transition to a new economic paradigm post revolution. The proposai has followed the Bank's normal policies and procedures in terms of project preparation and the Bank's project document is attached.
