In pursuance of DoPT OM No. AB-14017/61/2008-Estt. Dated 13/10/2015 (copyenclosed), SP (Systems) may kindly find enclosed herewith a Draft RRs of ChiefInformation Officer (CIO); Assistant Library & Information officer (ALlO); Lecture (Law)and lecturer (Criminology) in CBI for placing in the website of CBI for at least 30 daysfor inviting comments from all stakeholders before referring the same to DoPT forfinalization.

It is, therefore, requested that enclosed draft Recruitment Rules of aforesaidposts may be placed in the CBI website for at least 30 days under intimation to thisoffice.

This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.

Note: The Senior Library and Information Assistant with five year’s regular service on the date of notification of these rules with Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or Institute, and Bachelor's Degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science of a recognised University or Institute shall be eligible for consideration for promotion. Note: The departmental officer will also be considered alongwith outsiders and in case, he or she is selected the post shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion. Note : For the purpose of computing minimum qualifying service for promotion, the service rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1.1.2006 or the date from which the revised pay structure based on the Sixth Central Pay Commission recommendations has been extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended based on the recommendations of the pay commission.

The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be

eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. (Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed three years.
