SINAN-A & B background
Started up: July & March 2006.
Designed to operate with photovoltaic
systems & air generators, gas turbineor fuel cells once production started.
Due to power required, the use ofphotovoltaic cells was not an option.
Pemex had to request an alternativegeneration system because theautomation systems installed, whichare responsible for monitoring theoperation conditions of wells, remote
shutdown of wells, emergencyshutdown & surveilance system(CCTV), were out of operations dueto lack of electrical energy.

Scope of supply
Basic & detailed engineering for construction, installation & startup of a 1500W, power generation system, 500 W of back up & 72 hours of autonomy
based on maintenance free batteries for each platform Sinan- A & Sinan-B. Development of basic and detailed engineering for the supply, construction,installation and commissioning of the following low power consumptionsystems:
Digital monitoring & Control System.
Emergency Shutdown System. Rehabilitation of Interface pannel
Surveillance system (CCTV).
All systems replace existing equipment in offshore facilities.

Basic & detailed engineering for construction, installation & startup of a 1500W, power generation system, in a limited space offshore facility.
Power supply back up required large space to be installed. Existing systems required big amount of electrical power, so they had to be
replaced.
New systems had to be installed in the same space as the installed base, orbe smaller

MG500 is a great option for greenenergy in oil wells
Power generation systems avoid theuse of valuable space in offshoreplatforms.
RAs collaboration for the design oflow consumption systems helped to
implement a highly efficient system. Process Control System & ESD insame control platform allows forseamless integration & a reduction incommissioning time
Using same configuration &
visualization tools allows for a moreefficient system. RA s PlantPAx allows the flexiblity to
use different bus technologies,allowing users to define the bestsolution for every application.
