The SPDIF signal comes directly from the motherboard

using no PCI-bus or USB-bus.

AES and SPDIF Performance The Reference Media

Server features the only AES/EBU 2-Channel audio

output without the use of PCI or PCIe-Sound Cards, for

the very best in 2-Channel Music. The AES and SPDIF

outputs pass through the Baetis daughterboard for

unmatched soundstage, musicality, and accuracy.
