Day 1 (10/07/2017)
Session 1:
Successfully Inaugurated ISTE approved STTP on “Exploring R and Python” by the Guest of Honor Dr.
Joanne Gomes, Associate Professor, Head of IT Dept., SFIT, Mumbai and in the presence of Principal
Dr. S. P. Kallurkar and Head of the Department of Information Technology Prof. Nileema Pathak in
Presentation Hall at 09:30 am. Dr. Joanne Gomes started off with the key note session.
Session 2&3: Mr. Rajesh Jakhotia (Founder, K2 Analytics) enlightened us regarding Introduction to R
language, Basics of R and its use for data analysis and Predictive Modeling using R.
Day 2 (11/07/2017)
Session 1:
Mr. Rajesh Jakhotia and his colleagues gave the detailed description about Data Mining and Machine
Learning. Data Mining is a cross-disciplinary field that focuses on discovering properties of data sets and
Machine Learning is a sub-field of data science that focuses on designing algorithms that can learn from
and make predictions on the data.
Session 2:
Session included applications and case studies of Data Analysis and Data Mining.
Session 3:
Hands on session by Mr. Rajesh Jakhotia on machine learning with tools, concepts and techniques to
build an intelligent system using data mining techniques.
Day 3 (12/07/2017)
Session 1:
Day 3 sessions were conducted by Mr. Purav Bhardwaj. He briefed us about Python, Python basics,
decision making and functions and how Python will be useful in future projects.

Also conducted Hands-On Session on OOP using Python Programming. Day 4 (13/07/2017)

Session 1:
Session conducted by Mr. Dharmesh Koria, Founder, Prako Technocratz. It was based on Theory of
Machine learning, Data Preprocessing and Regression for Python and R language. Also, he described about
classifications of Python and R.
Session 2: It was based on classification models of data preprocessing and regression techniques.
Session 3: Hands on training on Python and R.
Day 5 (14/07/2017)
Session 1 & 2: This session was conducted by Dr. Vijay Katkar, Asst. Professor, PCCOE Pune. He
briefed us on Machine learning algorithms.
Session 3: Session three was based on Hands-on training for machine learningwith Aadhar APIs by Prof.
Mayur Patil.
Day 6(15/07/2017)
Session 1: Last day speaker was Prof. Kranti Ghag, Asst. Professor, Shah and Anchor Engineering
College, Mumbai. She briefed us about applications of data analytics in NLP-Sentiment analysis.
