DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENTIn continuation of this departments earlier advertisement dated 06-10-2012 and 07-10-2012,

applications are re-invited in light of amended eligibility criteria for the following post for Walled City of

Lahore Authority from eligible candidates having qualification & experience in the relevant field. The

recruitment will be purely on contract basis for the period of three years on fixed pay package

mentioned below. Detail terms of reference may be downloaded at Punjab Government Website

(A) (i) Masters Degree (2nd

Division) from HEC

recognized University inUrban Planning, or

Archeology or Social

Sciences.

(ii) 15 years experience of

management or

academics in fields of

Heritage, Culture, Urban

Planning.

(B) An officer of the

Government of the rankand status of BS-20 or

above and possessing the

prescribed qualification

and experience

mentioned at A (i) & (ii)

above.

(C) Age limit for the candidates is

between 52 years to 63

years.

The Director General shall be

the Chief Executive of

the Authority andshall-

(i) be a whole timeofficer of the

authority,

(ii) perform such dutiesand exercise such

powers as are

assigned to him

under the act or as

may be prescribed or

as may be delegatedto him by the

authority.

(iii) Hold office for a termof 3 years but shall

remain in the office

for 3 months

thereafter or until a

successor in that

office is appointed,

whichever is earlier.

Conditions:

Application along with copies of all academic testimonials should reach by 17-11-2012 in the office of the undersigned.

Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. After the expiry of the date of receiving the application, no application will be considered. Attested copies of Domicile & National Identity Card along with three passport size

photographs must be attached with the application.

Government / Semi Government employees may forward their applicant through theirDepartment. However an advance copy should reach in this Department by 17-11-2012.

Note:Candidates who have already applied in pursuance of earlier advertisement dated 06-

10-2012 and 07-10-2012 for the above post within due date need not to apply again.

TORs FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR GENERAL WALLED CITYOF LAHORE AUTHORITY.

The Director General shall be the Chief Executive of the

Authority and shall-

(i) be a whole time officer of the Authority;(ii) perform such duties and exercise such powers as are

assigned to him under the Act or as may be prescribed oras may be delegated to him by the Authority; and

(iii)hold office for a term of three years but shall remain inoffice for three months thereafter or unit a successor inthat office is appointed, whichever is earlier.

(iv) The Director General, who is not a Government servant,may resign by tendering his resignation to the Chairperson

and shall cease to hold office upon acceptance of hisresignation.
