Acorn invented the ‘village camp’ concept back in the ‘80s and we still believe in the magic of sleeping under the stars. We now have more accommodation options available but the original ethos of the accommodation experience runs through everything we do. This is why the vast majority of our camps have campfire nights for good old-fashioned fun, stargazing and toasting marshmallows. So it’s official, now we love camping and glamping!

Popular for over 35 years, our tented villages are the ideal setting offering Uniform groups of 35 or more their own private space, made up of up to 22 tents, a play area and a central marquee for dining and socialising. Our comfortable, standing height tents are pre-erected for ease and each group tent comes with four beds with proper mattresses and solid flooring. Our Leader tents have two timber beds with comfy mattresses, electricity (overseas camps), lighting, timber floor and storage.
Camping pods are now available at our private Brecon Beacons Camp, nestled in at the lakeside for the ultimate camping experience. Group pods sleep up to five and have proper beds, lighting and heating. Leader pods sleep up to three and have proper beds, lighting, electricity, a TV, dining table and a toilet/basin, kitchenette and TV.
For those who prefer bricks to canvas, Dordogne and Lake District centres offer groups exclusive use of secure dorms and converted stone barns respectively. Both centres provide private Leader accommodation and bathroom facilities.
Our Mediterranean Adventure offers a more alpine-style accommodation experience with its en-suite log cabins, set in a private zone of a large complex providing access to the wider facilities.
Our brand new tipi village in the woods is an exciting addition for Uniform Groups. Bookings of 35 or more have exclusive use of the camp, with 5 giant tipis (sleeping ten per tipi), 2 Leader tipis with real beds (and a few extra luxuries) and a giant open sided dining tent with a central fire pit. The village is equipped with running water and electricity and has direct access to a separate toilet and shower block.

Known as the Grand Canyon of Europe thanks to its stunning scenery, this picturesque camp with swimming pool is within walking distance of crags, caves and rivers making it an adventure haven.
