Dear Saint William Parishioner, The Advent and Christmas seasons have a way of bringing us back: to our families, to relationships that need healing, and to the Church. All of us are searching for the light in the midst of feeling lost in the overwhelming demands and suffering that life can bring. Saint William provides the hope, warmth, and light that all of us are longing to encounter. We experience this through our sacred liturgies, the sacraments, and our welcoming community of ministry life. And in all these things, we come face to face with our beloved Jesus Christ. Time and time again Saint William shows itself to be a faithful and strong presence during those times when hope and encouragement are needed most. We do not do that alone. It takes all of us, all 7,200+ families of Saint William, to bring about the light of Jesus Christ to a community that mourns together when we suffer a loss and also when we celebrate together during joyous occasions. It is because of this that I am proud to be your pastor for 10 years and counting. In the past few months you have been asked to give financially to different diocesan causes. You have given generously and I am profoundly grateful for that. Your dedication and passion for our parish is also something that continues to inspire me. This is why I am able to come to you with our annual end of year appeal amidst all the other “asks” being made of you. This year, keeping in mind all the requests that you have received, I have a simple invitation. Please prayerfully consider giving a minimum of $50 towards our end of year fundraising goal. A gift of at least $50 will go a long way in ensuring we end the year on a good financial note. An envelope has been enclosed for your convenience. Fr. Henry, Msgr. Louis, and I could not ask for better parishioners to be the Light of the World in a world that so desperately needs it. Your commitment and generosity inspire us daily. Yo soy la luz del mundo; el que me sigue no caminará en la oscuridad pero tendrá la luz de la vida.

Juan 8:12 Estimado feligrés de San William, Las temporadas de Adviento y Navidad tiene una manera de regresarnos a nuestras familias, de sanar las relaciones dañadas o rotas, y de regresar a la Iglesia. Todos estamos buscando la luz en medio de sentirnos perdidos en las abrumadoras demandas y sufrimientos que la vida puede traer. San William proporciona la esperanza, el calor y la luz que todos anhelamos encontrar. Experimentamos ésto a través de nuestras litúrgias sagradas, los sacramentos y nuestra comunidad acogedora en la vida de nuestros ministerios. Y en todas estas cosas, nos encontramos cara a cara con nuestro amado Jesucristo. Una y otra vez, San William se muestra como una presencia fiel y fuerte durante los momentos en que más se necesita esperanza y aliento. No podemos hacer esto solos. Nos lleva a todos nosotros, a las más de 7,200 familias de Saint William, llevar la luz de Jesucristo a una comunidad que llora cuando sufrimos una pérdida y también cuando celebramos juntos en ocasiones alegres. Es por ésto que estoy orgulloso de ser su pastor durante 10 años y seguiremos contando. En los últimos meses, se les ha pedido sus dones financieros para diferentes causas diocesanas, que han dado generosamente y estoy profundamente agradecido por esto.
