Success factors for establishing and
maintaining business and biodiversity platforms
What are business and biodiversity platforms?
Why are business platforms important? Why are they useful?
• “Safe space” for business sector and conservation sector to exchange on sustainability issues
• Particularly important in countries where the PS has low awareness around biodiversity issues
• Opportunity for both sectors to come together to develop and implement projects, knowledge products, tools, etc.
• Useful to encourage companies to challenge and motivate one another
