Sin City Laryngology Turns Ten!
It has been a fun ride, and a ride that is poised to continue for years
to come. Our inaugural conference took place at the Sun Coast
Casino in February of 2005. Since that time we have convened at the
Renaissance, The Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, and, most recently, at
Bally's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. We have featured countless
speakers and thousands of participants. Some of the highlights over
the past decade include a Dr. Langmore/Leonard FEES Fest, a
speaker getting arrested off of the podium, a drunken Bruce
Springsteen, the introduction of laryngeal karaoke, Laryngeal and
Esophageal Believe It or Not, Family Feud Laryngology, and myriad
other priceless memories. We have covered topics from aspiration to
Zenker’s. We have introduced new surgical techniques, and have
refuted old ones. Our work, however, is not done. We are excited for
our tenth birthday celebration, and 2015 is gearing up to be our best
event yet. Plans for this year’s conference include a hands-on
surgical workshop (TNE/Stretta/Advanced Esophageal and Airway
Dilation/Injection Medialization) to accompany the speech
pathology workshop on Saturday, February 21st. The conference will
see a return of Laryngeal Family Feud, Karaoke, and introduce – for
the very first time – a FEES Pie Eating Contest.
Can't wait to see you in Vegas!!
