Advanced Placement Program
(PROGRAM OF ENRICHMENT & ACCELERATION THAT ALLOWS MOTIVATED STUDENTS TO BEGIN THEIR COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY STUDIES IN HIGH-SCHOOL)
Exam: ~$135; Capstone Exam $190
Students do not need teacher permission to sign up for an AP course. Courses run based on the number of available spots. Enrolment is determined by the Department.
University Credit As part of the Advanced Placement program, students will
have the option to write the AP exam in May (fee ~$135; Capstone exam $190)
Students who earn a 4 or a 5 on the AP Exam may have the option to receive credit for a first year university course
Students receive an additional 4 credits upon completion of some courses (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; AP English)
AP exam scores can be used for calculation of admission average if they are available: 4 = 86%; 5 = 96%
