ADVANCED MATERIAL SYNTHESIS AND FABRICATION LABORATORY (AMSF)

Services: The purpose of the AMSF laboratory, the cleanroom is to serve national researchers especially UPM researchers to fabricate devices and perform the characterization of devices using several technologies, approaches and equipment. This cleanroom is a one-stop center for synthesis, fabrication, characterization and handling (packaging) of highly sensitive materials. It enables highly sensitive materials and components to be handled in a great care since the wet room and cleanroom are in the same vicinity. The services offered in the cleanroom are for UPM researchers, UPM students and researchers at Klang Valley area. List of Equipment in the cleanroom are shown in table 1. Some Items are chargeable in appropriate price and they are marked (þ).

There are policies, procedures and forms that need to be filled up by users for safety and health reason especially on equipment usage, chemical material handling, standard of procedures of equipment etc.

Advanced Material Synthesis and Fabrication Laboratory (AMSF) is a cleanroom located at Faculty of Engineering, UPM. It starts operating from October 2013. AMSF cleanroom was built at Faculty of Engineering UPM under special grant Research University scheme and it is comprises of three sections of class 100K for dry & wet activities and photolithography activity.
