Project Model Generalisation
Generalisation processes: Semantic generalisation - Classification - Combination - Aggregation Geometric generalisation - Change of the geo- metry type - Geometric simplification
Model generalisation is the automated derivation of another DLM of a lower structuring degree and granularity than the base model. (data reduction)

Project Model Generalisation
Model Generalisation Results - Rule-based process (Objektartenkatalog – OKBasisDLM - OK50 – OK100) - 100% fully automated process - Processing whole BW in one MG process - Producing of a consistant and homogenious data set - 35% reduction of the data volume (currently) - Total processing runtime of whole BW data is 10 days (e.g. DLM50.1)
Project Cartographic Generalisation
Cartographic generalisation is the processing of a topo- logically correct and visually correct data set (on basis of style sheet catalogues).

DLM100.2
Results: - Rules-bases process (SK50 and SK100) - Managing of all generalization conflikts in one single workflow - Identical and editor indepedent generalisation results - Total processing runtime of whole BW data in 8 weeks
Project cartographic generalisation
Generalisation processes: The Cartographic generalisation process is solving all kinds of graphical conflicts (as e.g. Typification, Simplification, Merging Enlargement ). The Workflow is scale independent. It is controled by parameters of the style sheet catalogues (e.g. minimum size, minimum distance, movebility). This part is scale dependent!
Project Representation
Representation Component: - Automatic representation according style sheet catalog (SK) - Possibility of interactive editing of still open conflicts - Addition of Contour Lines (derived from the DGM) - Label placement and Grid
