Chillerele cu absorbtie nu pot functiona8000 h/an datorita operatiunilor de intretinereexecutate la fiecare 3000h.Solutia de Li-Br se dilueaza pe parcursul operarii, astfel incatsolutie noua trebuie adaugata. De asemeneabalanta inhibitorilor de coroziune pe baza de Crsau Mo se dezechilibreaza, iar solutia Li-Br poate devini extrem de coroziva. O noua seriede analize si noi cantitati de inhinbitori trebuiescadaugate la fiecare 3000h, pentru a mentineechilibrul chimic. Daca chillerul nu este intretinutcorespunzator poate fi scos din functiune in maiputin de 4 ani.
