This feature eliminates the need for time consuming shimming by creating an adjustable crown in the middle of the table. In this system and over under wedge system creates a stable crown to the center of the table or bed. The CNC controlled system is automatically set based on programmed part information.

Due to the multiple purpose use of press brakes, point of operation guarding is the responsibility of the machine buyer/user. For this reason we offer the Akas ram mounted and motorized “laser” style point of operation guard. The system is based off of the location of the punch tip. Simply by pressing a button the system travels down and finds the safe setting relevant to the punch being used at the time.

A laser hardening system is used to increase tool life by laser hardening of the shoulders of the v opening. Devel-opment in the area of harder, longer lasting tooling has provided a better solution for processing harder materials. Special application tooling is also available.
High grade chemical and certification requirements (45CrMO4) for the steel suppliers yields a better quality product. Both material content and machining quality is held under tight control Durma’s ISO 1000 factory.

A motorized CNC controlled die shuttle system moves the multi-v style die from one v-opening to another quickly and easily without operator involvement.
These inserts are laser hardened and placed in the shoulder area of the lower v die. This reduces friction as the punch pushes the material into the die. In certain materials this can be advantageous in increasing die life.

Shoulder hardened spacers can be added or removed to reduce the desired v opening as needed. The opening ranges from 2.36” -11.8”. More per foot load capacity (83 tons) increases tool life.

CNC FeeD & gauge systems
The X1,X2 (back) and F1,F2 (front) feeding system eliminates the need for operator handling during the bending of poles. The system shown is equipped with integrated pneumatic pushers which can override inaccuracies from plasma cut blanks. A spring tensioning system is also available for more accurate sheared blanks. The above system is shown with four programmable front positioners (optional F1,F2,F3.F4).

Specially designed material feed systems provide support for the blank. The fingers are spring tensioned for securing blank against gauge stop to offset slight deviations in bland accuracy . For blanks with reduced accuracy a pneumatic “pusher” style system is available (below).

For blanks with reduced accuracy a pneumatic “pusher” style system is available. Depending on the method used for cutting the blank, a pneumatic pusher system has been developed to offset the inaccuracy that may occur when the blank is cut on a plasma cutting system.
