About Our School

ADVANCED COURSEWORKAdrian High School offers a variety of coursework beyond the norm, including dual-credit options in mathematics, writing, foreign languages, and 2 + 2 credits in Ag. Science and Ag. Mechanics. In addition, students have the opportunity to take courses through Treasure Valley Community College online in our Resource Room.

CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION Our school encourages students to explore careers and begin to acquire skills before graduation. Through our programs with Treasure Valley Tech, we offer certification in Welding as well as a CNA. In addition, we offer the same training a student would receive in the military in Electronics. We also have opportunities in robotics, computer programming, in addition to the 2 + 2 credits available in Agriculture.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIESAdrian High School supports numerous extra-curricular activities and supports student interests whenever possible. Our sports offerings include cross country, football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, softball, and track and field. In addition, students can be part of our Leadership service organization, the International Club, or FFA. Students interested in performing arts can be part of our award-winning music department in either the band or choir, or be part of our annual drama production. Finally, students with a focus on academics may choose to continue the winning tradition of our Academic Bowl team.

PARENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTWe regularly engage with parents through regular conferences, provided in both English and Spanish. Our staff regularly contacts parents through emails, texts, and phone calls. In addition, parents of students are honored through events such as homecoming, prom, parent night for sports, and inclusion of parents and families at our annual class night. We also host major community events each year such as the annual drama production, International Night, and the FFA Banquet, each of which draws in hundreds of participants from the community. Our senior project process regularly brings our students into contact with the community through job shadows and service projects, and the community into our school as community judges.
