Adreenah WynnWaves of MemoriesSpring 2013, Visual MethodsBook, Drawings, Paper5 in. x 5 in.

This hand bound book is designed to visually represent waves in an abstract way. On the pages are drawings of memories from my hometown on the Panhandle of Florida. The area is known as the “Forgotten Coast.” This piece represents the memories of the area that are washing away. The book includes hand written typography to help the viewer understand the personal feel.

Adreenah WynnAbbreviated Text DesignFall 2013, Typography 1Digital Illustration and Print11 in. x 17 in.

When creating a logotype you have to get a clear message across using only a few letters. I chose the acronym AYOR or “At Your Own Risk.” This playful cartoon-like text grabs your attention through the bold border that references the caution signs we use today.

Adreenah WynnColor BurstSummer 2013, CeramicsCeramics and Installation 40 in. x 40 in. x 40 in.

This sculpture is made up of 22 small pieces that connect together. Each piece is exactly the same. The colors repeat and include the natural clay body and glaze to make the piece flow together and look like one piece. The piece represents me as a designer and how I burst through the cookie cutter designs in the graphic design industry.

Adreenah WynnSustainability Part 1Fall 2012, WarpSculpture - Recycled Paper and Cardboard80 in. x 110 in.

This project was a mock collaboration with the artist Christy Rupp, who makes bird sculptures from chicken bones. I decided to make a tree sculpture from paper, dead trees. It is 100% recyclable. I decided to also include found typography to make an impact on how we need to recycle, yet these were all in the trash.

Adreenah WynnSustainability Part 2Spring 2014, Independent ProjectSculpture – Oyster Cells50 in. x 25 in.

I decided to continue working with materials that we waste. Here I used oysters from my hometown, Apalachicola. We call it Apalach for short and it is a very rural community that is also beautiful. This wall display represents the town well using fancy typography made from very dull material.

Adreenah WynnMy Sickle Cell StorySummer 2013, CeramicsCeramics and Digital PrintBed 48 in. x12 in x12 in. Poster 11 in. x 17 in.

This is a very personal project that describes my struggle with sickle cell blood disorder. It includes the shapes of actual sickle cells. The bed and cup represent how I’m always tired so I need rest and fluids. The eye represents that I may go blind. And the cup is colorful on the outside and dark on the inside. I also made a poster to give the viewer facts about the disease.

Adreenah WynnHappy-GoFall 2012, WarpSculpture12 in. x 24 in. 5 in.

Happy-Go is a product from the company SmartSmells. At first glance Happy-Go seems to be a product that you could wear right on your neck that has everything you need for happiness. In reality Happy-Go is only a reminder that true happiness is within yourself. The item that looks like chocolate actually has laxative in it. What looks like money is really a ripped bill.
