How To Prepare
BeforeThe
Examination
Classroom Set-UpAll desk should face forward in straight lines. If possible, allow space for you to be able to walk back and forth between aisles.
Counting Exams, Test Booklets, and Pencils
Make sure you have all of your supplies prepared before students enter the classroom
What is Prohibited Any electronic device Any portable listening or recording device Cameras Pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters, or
colored pencils Scratch paper, notes, books, dictionary or
references Earplugs, compass, protractor, ruler Any beverage (including water)
What Students Can UseCalculators are allowed with the exception of: Phone calculators Talking calculators Type that needs to be plugged in Large displays (characters of 1 inch or more)

Make sure you read aloud all the directions printed in bold
within the boxes. You are not allowed to skip anything.
What to Do After Reading the Instructions in the Third Box
“You will now receive a test book and an answer sheet….” (8).
As you distribute the material make sure no one opens a test book until told to do so
Working the Room “Print your name clearly on the front of your
test book…” (9). Section 1
“…Enter your name*, last name first, and fill in the appropriate circles carefully. Make sure each mark is dark and completely fills the circle” (9).
