Adjustable Height Workstation Assembly Instructions Congratulations on the purchase of your new Adjustable Height Workstation! It allows you to set the height of your work surface anywhere between 26 1 2" and 42", and its smooth, easy-to-adjust hydraulic system can lift up to 500 lbs. Please review these instructions thoroughly before beginning. Notes for Unpacking and Operation Keep the Leg Assembly as it arrives in the box. Don’t push the inner leg out to the point that the black bearing comes out at the top; it is difficult to return. Be especially careful when handling the hydraulic components (pump housing, tubing and brass pistons). Do not drop the components or kink the tubing. Do not attempt to adjust any fittings. The components form a sealed system that requires no adjustment; any damage to the system could prevent it from performing properly. The maximum recommended top size is 30" x 60". The tabletop should be centered on the table assembly, and weight on the table should be evenly distributed to prevent tipping and to ensure proper lift performance. The hydraulic mechanism has a load capacity of 500 lbs.; it requires a load of at least 20 lbs. (including tabletop) for even lowering.

Adjustable Height WorkstationAssembly Instructions

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Adjustable Height Workstation! It allows you to set the height of your work surface anywhere between 261⁄2" and 42", and its smooth, easy-to-adjust hydraulic system can lift up to 500 lbs. Please review these instructions thoroughly before beginning.

Notes for Unpacking and Operation• Keep the Leg Assembly as it arrives in the box. Don’t push

the inner leg out to the point that the black bearing comes out at the top; it is difficult to return.

• Be especially careful when handling the hydraulic components (pump housing, tubing and brass pistons). Do not drop the components or kink the tubing. Do not

attempt to adjust any fittings. The components form a sealed system that requires no adjustment; any damage to the system could prevent it from performing properly.

• The maximum recommended top size is 30" x 60".

• The tabletop should be centered on the table assembly, and weight on the table should be evenly distributed to prevent tipping and to ensure proper lift performance.

• The hydraulic mechanism has a load capacity of 500 lbs.; it requires a load of at least 20 lbs. (including tabletop) for even lowering.

Attach Pump Housing to Table Arm Support • Decide whether you want the lift mechanism to be on

the right or left side of the assembled table. Right-side mounting is shown.

• Be especially careful when handling the Pump Housing (4) and other hydraulic components. Do not bend or kink the tubing, and do not drop the brass pistons.

Attach Table Arm Supports to Legs• A helper will make this step easier.

• Hold on to the Feet (2) when flipping the assembly so that the inner leg doesn’t drop out of the upper leg.

• You will need to cut the ties holding the hydraulic tubing. Be especially careful not to cut or damage the tubing itself.

• The brass piston with the shorter tubing should go into the center of the Leg Assembly on which the Pump Housing (4) will be located.

• Feed the hydraulic tubing toward the back of the Arm Support.

• When attaching the Table Arm Support (6) to the Leg Assembly (1), be careful not to drop the screws into the Leg Assembly, and be sure the hydraulic tubing is not kinked or pinched between the Table Arm Support (6) and Leg Assembly.

Attach the Stretcher• Flip the assembly, making sure to hold on to the Feet (2) that the inner leg doesn’t drop out of the upper

leg. Be careful not to damage the hydraulic tubing.

• The Stretcher (7) should be positioned no closer than 6" from the underside of the tabletop.

• Rockler’s Total Lock 3/8" Stem Casters (34000, sold separately) can be installed instead of the Adjustable Glides (16) if easy mobility is desired. Casters will limit the maximum weight capacity to 400 lbs.

Install the Rail and End Caps• Use a rubber mallet, if necessary, to tap in the End

Caps, with the exception of the Rail End Cap near the hydraulic tubing outlets. Install that End Cap with hand pressure, taking care not to damage the hydraulics.

Install a Tabletop and Secure the TubingNote: The maximum recommended top size is 30" x 60". The tabletop should be centered on the table assembly, and weight on the table should be evenly distributed to prevent tipping and to ensure proper lift performance. The lift mechanism requires a load of 20 lbs. for even lowering.

1. Place the tabletop, top side down, on a non-scratch surface. Note: Hold on to the Feet (2) when flipping the

assembly so that the inner leg doesn’t drop out of the upper leg. Be careful not to damage the hydraulic tubing.

2. Carefully turn the table assembly over and position it so it is centered on the tabletop, with the front of the tabletop extending no more than 3" beyond the ends of the Table Arm Supports (6).

3. Use the holes in the Table Arm Supports (6) to mark and drill pilot holes for the included #14 x 1" Screws (26).

4. Secure the tabletop to the table assembly.

5. Carefully coil the hydraulic tubing in loops no smaller than 3" in diameter; hold with Zip Ties (24) and secure to the tabletop with the included Tube Clips (25).

6. With a helper, carefully turn the table upright, being sure to hold on to the Feet (2) to prevent them from dropping and the Leg Assemblies from separating.
