Well the year got off to a very good start with a very good Advisory Board Meeting and our regular monthly

meeting. We have made a few changes/improvements for the year and are starting off well executing the

necessary steps to get our club off to a good start. Thank you to all who have given their input. Please come out to

our meeting if you can and get involved with the new years events.

“Dues are due for the 2017 year”

Please pay your dues ($20.00) in January, if at all possible, so we can put this task to rest and move on to other

things. Make a check out to A.S.M.C. and send it to:

Adirondack Shelby Mustang Club

P.O. Box 4427

Halfmoon, NY 12065

Or see Steve at your earliest convenience. Elsewhere in the newsletter is a list of those people who joined the club

after the August deadline and “do not” have to pay dues at this time.

We have started a new event for the club. Interested club members will be meeting twice a month at Harbor

House for dinner starting in December. We will have a get together at 6pm, the second and fourth Thursdays of

each month thru April. If you get the winter blues come out and join us. I am sure Joe will appreciate a little extra

business from the Club. See “Club Calendar” for exact dates.

Hope to see you at the meeting.

Walt

Minutes from January 5th, 2017 Meeting

ASMC Secretary,

Bob Jones Meeting held at Halfmoon Town Hall

Meeting called to order By President Walt Dugan at 7:03pm. Old Business

Walt introduced Ed Holub From S. Glens Falls, NY

attending our meeting and possibly becoming a ASMC

Member.

Walt asked the membership to accept the minutes from

the November 2016 meeting. Phil Benner made a

motion to accept the minutes and Al DelSignore

seconded the motion. Minutes were approved.

Walt passed around the club mail.

Steve Freed distributed the Treasurer’s report from

Nov/Dec 2016 for members to review. The beginning

balance was $2,147.28 and the ending balance is

$942.89. Steve explained the donation of car wash

tickets proceeds to Make-A-Wish. Al DelSignore made

a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and the motion

was seconded by John Smith. The treasurer’s report

was accepted.

Walt asked members that have not paid their 2017 dues

of $20 to please do so. He explained the list of

members in the last Newsletter that were exempt from

paying dues for 2017.

remind anyone who may be interested to attend. They

are held on the 2nd

and 4th

Thursday of the winter

months at 6:00 pm.

John Smith discussed a food vender named Grace

Gidley that contacted him asking to supply our food at

our shows for 2017. It was discussed of our problems

with our current vendor that we experienced during the

2016 season and it was voted upon and unanimously

decided to let John pursue Grace Gidley to supply food

for us at our shows.

New Business

Steve handed out and went over the 2017 budget.

Trailer ad payments along with newsletter ads

were discussed. John Smith and Jim Crall will follow

up with those businesses that have not paid.

recipient of the funds we raise during 2017.

dates of our car shows for 2017. Sunday May 21st for

Jack Byrne and Saturday August 26th

at Metro Ford.

Harbor House cruise nights will be held each Thursday

starting May 11th

through September 28th

.

Steve mentioned changing our awards for our shows. It

was decided to discus that further at the Directors

Board meeting when Wendy would be present.

National Mustang Day is Monday April 17th

and would

normally be celebrated on the day before Sunday.

However this happens to be Easter so it was decided

not to organize any event for this year.

Phil Benner said 2016 we have sent out 15 cards total

to various people and members.

John Smith agreed to be the chair person for the Metro

Mustang Times in the mail and online, Digital is $35, without a printed magazine mailed out and Associate is $25,

See http://www.mustang.org/content.php/193-Membership-Application -Now-Available-Online for a pdf copy of

the different levels!

I encourage all ASMC members to pursue a membership in the MCA!

If you are a current member of the MCA, have recently joined or are thinking about joining please make sure Walt or

I have your MCA number as it is a requirement to have a minimum of 10 MCA members in good standing as a term

of our relationship with the MCA. A list of all ASMC members will be sent to the MCA in February.
