Adelaide Botanic Garden

In the heart of the city but another world away …

Adelaide Botanic Garden is an oasis of beautifully landscaped gardens, majestic avenues and stunning architecture. Take time out to explore the beauty and diversity of plants from across Australia and the world.

Spend an hour or spend the day amongst 16 hectares of magnificently landscaped gardens. Relax in the shade or enjoy a coffee among some of Australia’s finest plant collections.

Explore for knowledge; explore for pleasure, just explore.

Adelaide Botanic Garden is one of three sites which together comprise the Botanic Gardens of South Australia. You can also visit the gardens at Wittunga and Mount Lofty.

Follow a trail …

Every garden has a story to tell. The Botanic Gardens of South Australia are champions and storytellers of how plants shape our future and we wish to share our stories with you.

Using the MyParx app (available on iTunes and Android stores), you will receive free access to quality information about our Gardens from our own garden staff.

MyParx offers many fascinating stories and highlights the amazing features of Adelaide’s beautiful botanic gardens, in ways you have never seen before.

The Gardens have a trail for everyone. Get more information or download the app by visiting the MyParx website at myparx.com or scan the QR code below.

Take a tour …

The Friends of the Botanic Gardens conduct guided walks daily at 10:30 am (except Good Friday and Christmas Day). Walks leave from the Schomburgk Pavilion (H14).

Please note, all walks are cancelled if the forecast temperature is 36° celcius or above.
