Purpose of an Authoritative Data Environment
The Authoritative Data Environment version 3.0 (ADE 3.0) is an advanced and secure commercial cloud technology environment built to simultaneously collect and distribute all MPT&E (and more) related data within and across the entire Navy enterprise.
ADE 3.0 enables Sailor 2025.
ADE 3.0 enables near real-time Leadership decision making.
ADE 3.0 enables more efficient and effective Business operations.
ADE 3.0 connecting applications will enable delivery of the 21st Century Sailor and ultimately, the many multifaceted U.S. Navy missions.

ADE 3.0 is a transformed version of the current ADE 2.0 system.
ADE 3.0 leverages a commercial cloud hosting environment, significant security, and the commercial state of the art software applications.
The major breakthrough in design leverages Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to obtain requisite data from instantiated / established systems and distribute / process data to modern Sailor applications such as those in the App Locker, improved Business applications, and Leadership decision applications – simultaneously, securely, and in near real-time.
