Argan OilIntroduction ARGAN OIL is extracted of the

argan, a species of tree endemic to Morocco and the west of Al- geria. It is mainly present in the southwestern Morocco between Agadir, Essaouira and Taroudant and around the Algerian regionof Tindouf. This oil is widely used in the traditional cuisine of this region.

Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, Argan Oil is distinguished for its cosmetics properties. In 2010, it became a fashionable product and widely demanded which led to the rise of prices. It is well-known that fraud is frequent and that many products claim being based on Argan Oil while they only contain very little quantity or nothing at all.
