Project GoalThe goal of this project was to redesign the build and price section of the FordDirect.com

web site to match the needs of modern automotive shoppers.

My roleI defined the feature set and produced the initial conceptual designs. I directed an external design agency to produce later iteration of the design.

Dealer Sites ProductMarch 2006

Project GoalAfter deploying custom dealer sites solutions to multiple customers, Versata decided to

convert the deployments into a prepackaged solution to reduce the cost of deployment.

My RoleMy roles were to define to product direction, collect requirements from potential customers, and design the user interface.


DaimlerChrysler Build and PriceMarch 2004 - February 2007

Project GoalTo redesign all of the automotive shopping applications on the Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep

corporate web sites in the US, Canada, and Europe and the web sites of over 2,000 dealers.

My roleMy role was the lead interaction designer and program manager. I managed requirements, produced designs, and managed the work of junior designers on the project.


British Airways - WWDSSeptember 2003 - February 2004

Project GoalThis project focused on redesigning and enhancing the internal system used by British

Airways to manage all of the deals and discounts created by it's corporate sales force.

GoodyearAugust 2003

Project GoalThe goal of this product was to produce a system that Goodyear's sales and marketing

teams could use to analyze sales and discounts to optimize the various discounts offered to the many retailers in their sales channels.

My RoleMy primary responsibility on this project was interaction design.


General Motors VMM2003

Project GoalThis project was an extended sales cycle with General Motors where we developed a Java based application for the authoring, analysis, and distribution of the thousands of vehicle incentives GM offers each year.

My RoleI interacted with GM to collect requirements, write the specification, and design the entire UI.


Automotive Demand Intelligence2002 - 2003

Project GoalThis product allowed automotive manufacturers to analyze the usage of their consumer web sites to predict consumer demand for current and upcoming vehicles.

My RoleI designed the UI for both the consumer web sites and the data analysis application.


Volvo Design ConfigurationDecember 2002 - March 2003

Project GoalThe goal of this project was to build an application that allows engineers at Volvo to explore

the effects of various vehicle configuration permutations.

My RoleMy responsibility was to design the UI of the application based on a deep understanding of the domain and the technology.


Nissan ICON2002 - 2003

Project GoalThis multiple year project was an effort to redesign all the consumer shopping tools on both

the Nissan and Infiniti web sites. This included Build and Price, Inventory, and Quote functions.

My RoleMy roles included requirements management, UI design, and usability testing.

Project GoalThe goal of this project was to redesign portions of the FordDirect web site to better help users

understand the various models of each Ford vehicle that were available.

Project GoalThe goal of this project was to create a tool that the engineering and marketing teams used to manage the thousands of configuration rules that define which vehicle configurations Ford built and marketed.

Project GoalThis project was a web-based procurement automation tool targeted at small to medium sized

enterprises.

My RoleI designed the UI for portions of the first release of the tool and led the UI design and

requirements management for the second.
