ZAFAR HANNAN / DJ WARRIOR

Rolling Stone Magazine voted Hannan into the “Top Ten Most Influential DJ’s in the World”. He is considered one of the most influential players on the West Coast within the urban entertainment industry. With hundreds of classic mixtapes and projects engraved into history, and many artists introduced into the mainstream market with his proven marketing strategies, Hannan is now focused on a bigger corporate direction, introducing new mobile and online strategies into the entertainment industry. But past is the foundation to the future, and Hannan’s resume speaks for itself.

Beginning his career as a DJ at house parties and clubs, Hannan has moved on to working with and being the official Mixtape DJ for various popular artists, including, most recently, Ice Cube, The Game, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg, and Talib Kweli, He has been incremental in breaking the careers of many urban artists, along with his Cali Untouchable Radio Mixtape/Street Album series within the past 10 years, including The Game, Bishop Lamont(Aftermath Records), Juice, Strong Arm Steady (Blacksmith/Warner Bros.), Roccett(CTE), and many, many others. He is world renowned for his marketing implementation, has released more than 120 popular mixtape CD's, and has become a household name amongst celebrities as one of the top picks for DJs. Currently, Hannan is the owner and founder of the multi-disciplined CU Group, which houses all assets, including the Cali Untouchable brand, and is headed up by his partner and manager, Shawn Wells.

Hannan is also a five-time winner of the famous Justo's Mixtape Awards, and a DJ whose name is synonymous with the urban industry. DJ Warrior is also steadily working on his first official debut album under CU/Universal, entitled Cali Untouchable Radio, which will tie in with new mobile and interactive online strategies Hannan has designed himself.His popularity as a DJ stems from his natural entrepreneurial tendency and his love for Hip Hop music, which has accorded him several accolades. He is a four-time winner of Justo's Mixtape Awards for the Best West Coast Mixtape DJ of the year, labeled one of the top 10 most influential DJs in 2004 and 2005 by MTV and nominated for both mixtape DJ of the year in 2005 by Source Magazine and best mixtape DJ of year in 2004 and 2005 at the Mixshow Power Summit in Puerto Rico and in the Bahamas. Not to mention, Warrior continues to make his staple within the urban industry by countless features in such magazines as Vibe, XXL, Source, Fader, URB, YRB, Rime, Import Tuner, Ozone, New York Times, LA Times, Zero, Modern Fix, Ruckus, allhiphop.com, and appearances on the Jay Leno show, Jumpboxtv.net, LA Xlarge TV and Mundo TV.

Aside from the list of awards that DJ Warrior has received, he has had the opportunity towork with several talented artists, including Dr. Dre, and others of high caliber. Warrior has toured the United States, Canada and overseas including Asia, Europe and Australia, with platinum, award-winning and acclaimed Hip-Hop and R&B acts such as Three Six Mafia, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Lil Zane, Crooked I, Kurupt, Ras Kass, and many others. Likewise, his mixtapes have included tracks from many top artists, and have introduced several underground, unsigned talents into the mainstream market. Outside of the success of Hip Hop West retail stores and website in 2006, Warrior is also the founding member of the infamous DJ group, Cali Untouchable DJs, which also includes DJ Hideo of 100.3 the Beat in Los Angeles. This group of young DJs continues to capitalize on the urban market and have demonstrated that their DJ services are a necessity in the industry for live shows, Hollywood A-List functions and music videos. At the same time, Hannan is owner and Creative Director for caliuntouchables.com, the brand he created. He is president of an entertainment production company called The Warriorz Production, LLC, which specializes in Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, and Electro music production, and has produced mixtape songs for the now multi-platinum artists he broke into the industry.

Cali Untouchable DJ's

In January of 2002, Hannan formed the Cali Untouchable DJ's, an elite world class DJ crew including members from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Germany & New Zealand.

Cali Untouchable Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio

In August 2005, Hannan partnered with Sirius XM Radio to feature a two-hour Hip-Hop radio show, which is syndicated through Sirius Satellite's Hip Hop Nation channel 40 every Tuesday Night 11PM PST and 2AM Eastern, as well as on Dish Network channel 6040. Cali Untouchable Radio now has a listening audience of over 1.7 Million every week. The radio show is now moving into a new interactive format on a yet to be announced major commercial station in Los Angeles.
