This insert contains important informa�on about the correct usage of ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses, which are listed in Table 1 and contains informa�on about adverse reac�ons and contraindica�ons. Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd provides ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses Patient Instruction Guides that contain further information for contact lens wearers. The Eye Care Professional should provide the patient with the Patient Instruction Guide that pertains to the patient’s prescribed lens.

ACUVUE OASYS® Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS are also indicated for therapeutic use as a bandage lens for the following acute and chronic ocular conditions:

• For corneal protection in lid and corneal abnormalities such as entropion, trichiasis, tarsal scars and recurrent corneal erosion. In addition, they are indicated for protection where sutures or ocular structure malformation, degeneration or paralysis may result in the need to protect the cornea from exposure or repeated irritation.• For corneal pain relief in conditions such as bullous keratopathy, epithelial erosion and abrasion, filamentary keratitis, and post-keratoplasty.• For use as a barrier during the healing process of epithelial defects such as chronic epithelial defects, corneal ulcer, neurotrophic and neuroparalytic keratitis, and chemical burns.• For post surgical conditions where bandage lens use is indicated such as post refractive surgery, lamellar grafts, corneal flaps, and additional ocular surgical conditions.• For structural stability and protection in piggy back lens fitting where the cornea and associated surfaces are too irregular to allow for corneal rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses to be fitted. In addition, the use of the lens can prevent irritation and abrasions in conditions where there are elevation differences in the host/graph junction or scar tissue. ACUVUE OASYS® Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS when prescribed for therapeutic use may be worn for Daily Wear or Extended Wear.

All ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses have UV blocking to help provide protection against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your Eye Care Professional for more information. WEAR SCHEDULE The wearing and replacement schedule should be determined by the Eye Care Professional. Patients may tend to over wear the lenses initially. The Eye Care Professional should emphasise the importance of adhering to the initial maximum wearing schedule. Regular checkups, as determined by the Eye Care Professional, are also extremely important.

Daily Wear - Daily Disposable ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses prescribed for Daily Wear - Daily Disposable (less than 24 hours, while awake) as shown in Table 1, are intended to be worn once on a daily disposable basis and are to be discarded upon removal. When used in this way, no cleaning or disinfection is required.

Daily Wear - Frequent Replacement

ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses prescribed for Daily Wear - Frequent Replacement (less than 24 hours, while awake) as shown in Table 1, are to be discarded and replaced every two weeks.

SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lens for Daily Wear - Frequent Replacement (less than 24 hours, while awake) as shown in Table 1, are to be discarded and replaced every four weeks. All ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses as shown in Table 1, under the heading of Daily Wear - Frequent Replacement are to be cleaned, rinsed and disinfected each time the lens is removed using a chemical disinfection system only. Extended Wear ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses prescribed for Extended Wear, (greater than 24 hours, including while asleep) as shown in Table 1, may be used for up to 7 days/6 nights and should be discarded upon removal. When used in this way, no cleaning or disinfection is required. It is recommended that the new contact lens wearer first be evaluated on a Daily Wear - Frequent Replacement schedule. If in the opinion of the Eye Care Professional, the patient is determined to be an acceptable Extended Wear candidate, the Eye Care Professional is encouraged to determine a wear schedule based upon the response of the patient. Once removed, it is recommended that the lens remains out of the eye for a period of rest overnight or longer. The Eye Care Professional should examine the patient during the early stages of Extended Wear.

used to care for the lenses prescribed on a frequent replacement wear schedule. • Any active corneal infection (bacterial, fungal, protozoal or viral). • If eyes become red or irritated.

What to do if problems occur

PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PATIENT TO REMOVE CONTACT LENSES IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK ADVICE FROM THEIR EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL.

• Patients who wear the ACUVUE®and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses to correct presbyopia using Monovision may not achieve the best corrected visual acuity for either far or near vision. Visual requirements vary with the individual and should be considered when selecting the most appropriate type of lens for each patient.

• Fluorescein, a yellow dye, should not be used while the lenses are on the eyes. The lenses absorb this dye and become discolored. Whenever fluorescein is used in eyes, the eyes should be flushed with a sterile saline solution that is recommended for in-eye use.

• Eye Care Professionals should instruct the patient to remove the lenses immediately if the eyes become red or irritated.

• Before leaving the Eye Care Professional's office, the patient should be able to promptly remove lenses or should have someone else available who can remove the lenses for him or her.

• DO NOT use if the sterile blister package is opened or damaged. • Always wash and rinse hands before handling lenses. Do not get cosmetics, lotions,

soaps, creams, deodorants or sprays in the eyes or on the lenses. It is best to put on lenses before on makeup. Water-based cosmetics are less likely to damage lenses than oil-based products.

• Do not touch contact lenses with the fingers or hands if the hands are not free of foreign materials, as microscopic scratches of the lenses may occur, causing distorted vision and/or injury to the eye.

• Carefully follow the handling, insertion, removal, cleaning, disinfecting, storing and wearing instructions in the "Patient Instruction Guide" for ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses and those prescribed by the Eye Care Professional.

• Always handle lenses carefully and avoid dropping them. • Never use tweezers or other tools to remove lenses from the lens container unless

specifically indicated for that use. Pour the lens and the packing solution into the hand. • Do not touch the lens with fingernails. • Close supervision is necessary for the T use of all ACUVUE OASYS® Brand

Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS. Ocular medications used during treatmentwith a bandage lens should be closely monitored by the Eye Care Professional. In certainocular conditions, only the Eye Care Professional will insert and remove the lenses.In these cases, patients should be instructed not to handle the lenses themselves.

The patient should be instructed to conduct a simple 3-part self-examination at least once a day. They should ask themselves: • How do the lenses feel on my eyes? • How do my eyes look? • Have I noticed a change in my vision? If the patient reports any problems, he or she should be instructed to IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE LENS. If the discomfort or problem stops, the patient should then look closely at the lens. If the lens is in any way damaged, the patient SHOULD NOT put the lens back on the eye. The patient should discard the lens and apply a new fresh lens on the eye. If the lens has dirt, an eyelash, or foreign body on it, or the problem stops and the lens appears undamaged, he or she should be instructed to dispose of the lens and apply a new fresh lens. If the problem continues, the patient SHOULD NOT put the lens back on the eye but IMMEDIATELY CONSULT HIS OR HER EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL. The patient should also be instructed NOT to use a new lens as self-treatment for the problem. The patient should be advised that when any of the above symptoms occur, a serious condition such as infection, corneal ulcer, neovascularization or iri s may be present. The patient should be instructed to seek immediate professional iden fication of the problem and prompt treatment to avoid serious eye damage. During therapeu c use an adverse effect may be due to the original disease or injury or may be due to the effects of wearing a contact lens. There is a possibility that the existing disease or condition might become worse when a so� contact lens for therapeu c use is used to treat an already diseased injured eye. The patient should be instructed to avoid serious eye damage by contacting the Eye Care Professional IMMEDIATELY if there is an increase in symptoms while wearing the lens. Lens care direc�ons When lenses are dispensed, the Eye Care Professional should provide the patient with appropriate and adequate warnings and instructions in accordance with the individual patient’s lens type and wearing schedule. The Eye Care Professional should recommend an appropriate care system tailored to the patient’s individual requirements. Failure to follow the correct lens care regime may result in serious injury to the eye, as described in the section entitled – “Warnings” For complete information concerning contact lens handling, care, cleaning, disinfecting and storage, refer to the Patient Instruction Guide for ACUVUE® or SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses.

Other Topics to Discuss with Pa�ents • Always contact the Eye Care Professional before using any medicine in the eyes. • Certain medications, such as an�histamines, decongestants, diure�cs, muscle

relaxants, tranquilizers and those for motion sickness may cause dryness of the eye, increased lens awareness or blurred vision. Should such conditions exist, proper remedial measures should be prescribed. Depending on the severity, this could include the use of lubricating drops that are indicated for use with so contact lenses or the temporary discontinuance of contact lens wear while such medication is being used.

• Oral contraceptive users could develop visual changes or changes in lens tolerance when using contact lenses. Patients should be cau�oned accordingly.

• As with any contact lens, follow-up visits are necessary to assure the continuing health of the patient's eyes. The patient should be instructed as to a recommended follow-up schedule.

Who Should Know That the Pa�ent is Wearing Contact Lenses? • Inform the doctor (Health Care Professional) about being a contact lens wearer. • Always inform the employer of being a contact lens wearer. Some jobs may require use

of eye protection equipment or may require that the patient not wear contact lenses. ADVERSE REACTIONS The patient should be informed that the following problems may occur when wearing ACUVUE® or SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses:

• The eye may burn, sting and/or itch. • There may be less comfort than when the lens was first placed on the eye. • There may be a feeling of something in the eye (foreign body, scratched area). • There may be the potential for some temporary impairment due to peripheral

infiltrates, peripheral corneal ulcers and corneal erosion. There may be the potential for other physiological observations, such as local or generalized oedema, corneal neovascularization, corneal staining, injection, tarsal abnormalities, iritis and conjunctivi�s, some of which are clinically acceptable in low amounts.

• There may be excessive watering, unusual eye secretions, or redness of the eye. • Poor visual acuity, blurred vision, rainbows or haloes around objects, photophobia, or

dry eyes may also occur if the lenses are worn continuously or for too long a �me.

• If the lens sticks (stops moving) on the eye, follow the recommended directions in "Care for a Sticking Lens". The lens should move freely on the eye for the continued health of the eye. If non-movement of the lens continues, the patient should be instructed to immediately consult his or her Eye Care Professional.

• Never wear lenses beyond the period recommended by the Eye Care Professional. • If aerosol products, such as hair spray, are used while wearing lenses, exercise cau�on

and keep eyes closed until the spray has settled. • Avoid all harmful or irritating vapours and fumes while wearing lenses. • The Eye Care Professional should warn the patient about wearing lenses during

sporting activities, especially swimming and other water sports. Exposing contact lenses to water during swimming or while in a hot tub may increase the risk of eye infection from microorganisms.

• A�er the recommended wearing schedule, always discard lenses worn as prescribed by the Eye Care Professional.

Solu�on Precau�ons • Different solutions cannot always be used together and not all solutions are safe for

use with all lenses. Use only recommended solutions. • The patient should not change solutions without consulting their Eye Care Professional. • Never use solutions recommended for rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses. • Always use fresh, unexpired lens care solutions and lenses. • Always follow direc�ons in the package inserts for the use of contact lens solutions. • Use only a chemical (not heat) lens care system. Use of a heat (thermal) care system

can damage ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses. • Sterile unpreserved solutions, when used, should be discarded after the time specified

in the directions. • Do not use saliva or anything other than the recommended solutions for lubrica�ng or

we�ing lenses. • Always keep the lenses completely immersed in the recommended storage solu�on

when the lenses are not being worn (stored). Prolonged periods of drying will reduce the ability of the lens surface to return to a we�able state. Follow the lens care directions in "Care for a Dried Out (Dehydrated) Lens" if lens surface does become dried out.

Lens Case Precau�ons Lens cases can be a source of bacterial growth and require proper use, cleaning and replacement at regular intervals as recommended by the lens case manufacturer or Eye Care Professional.

• Patients who wear the ACUVUE®and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses to correct presbyopia using Monovision may not achieve the best corrected visual acuity for either far or near vision. Visual requirements vary with the individual and should be considered when selecting the most appropriate type of lens for each patient.

• Fluorescein, a yellow dye, should not be used while the lenses are on the eyes. The lenses absorb this dye and become discolored. Whenever fluorescein is used in eyes, the eyes should be flushed with a sterile saline solution that is recommended for in-eye use.

• Eye Care Professionals should instruct the patient to remove the lenses immediately if the eyes become red or irritated.

• Eye Care Professionals should carefully instruct patients about the following care regimen and safety precau�ons.

Handling Precau�ons • Before leaving the Eye Care Professional's office, the patient should be able to

promptly remove lenses or should have someone else available who can remove the lenses for him or her.

• DO NOT use if the sterile blister package is opened or damaged. • Always wash and rinse hands before handling lenses. Do not get cosmetics, lotions,

soaps, creams, deodorants or sprays in the eyes or on the lenses. It is best to put on lenses before put�ng on makeup. Water-based cosmetics are less likely to damage lenses than oil-based products.

• Do not touch contact lenses with the fingers or hands if the hands are not free of foreign materials, as microscopic scratches of the lenses may occur, causing distorted vision and/or injury to the eye.

• Carefully follow the handling, insertion, removal, cleaning, disinfecting, storing and wearing instructions in the "Patient Instruction Guide" for ACUVUE® and SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses and those prescribed by the Eye Care Professional.

• Always handle lenses carefully and avoid dropping them. • Never use tweezers or other tools to remove lenses from the lens container unless

specifically indicated for that use. Pour the lens and the packing solution into the hand. • Do not touch the lens with fingernails. • Close supervision is necessary for the Therapeu�c use of all ACUVUE® OASYS® Brand

Contact Lenses. Ocular medications used during treatment with a bandage lens should be closely monitored by the Eye Care Professional. In certain ocular conditions, only the Eye Care Professional will insert and remove the lenses. In these cases, patients should be instructed not to handle the lenses themselves.

Lens Wearing Precau�ons

The patient should be instructed to conduct a simple 3-part self-examination at least once a day. They should ask themselves: • How do the lenses feel on my eyes? • How do my eyes look? • Have I noticed a change in my vision? If the patient reports any problems, he or she should be instructed to IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE LENS. If the discomfort or problem stops, the patient should then look closely at the lens. If the lens is in any way damaged, the patient SHOULD NO T put the lens back on the eye. The patient should discard the lens and apply a new fresh lens on the eye. If the lens has dirt, an eyelash, or foreign body on it, or the problem stops and the lens appears undamaged, he or she should be instructed to dispose of the lens and apply a new fresh lens. If the problem continues, the patient SHOULD NO T put the lens back on the eye but IMMEDIATELY CONSULT HIS OR HER EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL. The patient should also be instructed NOT to use a new lens as self-treatment for the problem. The patient should be advised that when any of the above symptoms occur, a serious condition such as infection, corneal ulcer, neovascularization or s may be present. The patient should be instructed to seek immediate professional i of the problem and prompt treatment to avoid serious eye damage. During use an adverse effect may be due to the original disease or injury or may be due to the effects of wearing a contact lens. There is a possibility that the existing disease or condition might become worse when a contact lens for t use is used to treat an already diseased injured eye. The patient should be instructed to avoid serious eye damage by contacting the Eye Care Professional IMMEDIATELY if there is an increase in symptoms while wearing the lens.

ns When lenses are dispensed, the Eye Care Professional should provide the patient with appropriate and adequate warnings and instructions in accordance with the individual patient’s lens type and wearing schedule. The Eye Care Professional should recommend an appropriate care system tailored to the patient’s individual requirements. Failure to follow the correct lens care regime may result in serious injury to the eye, as described in the section entitled – “Warnings” For complete information concerning contact lens handling, care, cleaning, disinfecting and storage, refer to the Patient Instruction Guide for ACUVUE® or SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses.

When ACUVUE® or SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are recommended for frequent replacement, as shown in Table 1 , the lenses must be cleaned and disinfected following removal before re-use. The lenses may be disinfected using a chemical disinfection system only (e.g. multi-purpose or hydrogen peroxide system). The Eye Care Professional should review with the patient lens care directions, including basic information on lens case cleaning as well as specific instructions on the lens care regimen recommended for the patient. Since some lens materials contain silicone, as shown in Table 1, fferent lens care products are used.

If the lens sticks (stops moving), the patient should be instructed to apply a few drops of a recommended lubricating or rewetting solution directly to the eye and wait until the lens begins to move freely on the eye before removing it. If non-movement of the lens continues after a few minutes, the should immediately consult the Eye Care Professional. Care for a dried out (dehydrated) lens If any ACUVUE® or SUREVUE® Lens is off the eye for a prolonged period, its surface may

hould occur, discard the lens and use a new one.

EMERGENCIES

The patient should be informed that if chemicals of any kind (household products, gardening solutions, laboratory chemicals, etc.) are splashed into the eyes, the patient should: FLUSH EYES IMMEDIATELY WITH TAP WATER AND IMMEDIATELY CONTACT THE EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL OR VISIT A HOSPITAL CASUALTY DEPARTMENT WITHOUT DELAY.

ACUVUE® & SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses عندما يو�سى بالإ�ستعمال المتكرر للعد�سات اللا�سقة

كما هو مبين بالجدول 1، عندئذ يجب تنظيف العد�سات وتطهيرها عقب نزعها وقبل اإعادة ا�ستخدامها.

ويتم تطهير العد�سات با�ستخدام نظام تطهير كيميائي )مثل النظام متعدد الأغرا�ض اأو نظام بيروك�سيد

الهيدروجين(.

يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأن يقوم بمراجعة التعليمات الخا�سة بالعناية بالعد�سات مع المري�ض بما في ذلك

المعلومات الخا�سة بتنظيف حافظة العد�سات والتعليمات الخا�سة بنظام العناية بالعد�سات الذي ين�سح به

المري�ض. ونظراً لأن بع�ض المواد الم�ستخدمة في ت�سنيع العد�سات تحتوي على ال�سليكون، كما هو مبين في

الجدول 1، فقد تختلف القابلية للترطيب عند ا�ستخدام منتجات مختلفة للعناية بالعد�سات.

العناية بالعد�صات الثابتة )غير المتحركة(

في حالة الت�ساق العد�سات بالعين )التوقف عن الحركة(، يجب توجيه المري�ض اإلى و�سع ب�سع قطرات من

المحاليل المو�سى بها في العين مبا�سرة لجعل العد�سة زلقة ورطبة والنتظار حتى تبداأ العد�سات في التحرك

بحرية قبل نزعها. وفي حالة ا�ستمرار عدم حركة العين بعد ب�سع دقائق فيجب على المري�ض ا�ست�سارة

اأخ�سائي العيون على الفور.

العناية بالعد�صات الجافة )منزوعة الماء(

اإذا ظلت العد�سات اللا�سقة ACUVUE® & SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses خارج العين لفترة طويلة،

قد ي�سبح �سطحها جافاً وتفقد رطوبتها تدريجياً. اإذا ما حدث ذلك، تخل�ض من العد�سات وا�ستخدم عد�سات

جديدة.

حالت الطوارئ

يجب اإعلام المري�ض باأنه في حالة اإ�سابة عينيه باأي كيماويات من اأي نوع )منتجات منزلية، محاليل زراعية،

كيماويات معملية..اإلخ(، فيجب على المري�ض: �صطف عينه على الفور بماء ال�صنبور والت�صال على الفور

باأخ�صائي العيون اأو زيارة ق�صم الطوارئ باأي م�صت�صفى دون تباطوؤ.

يجب اأن يتم اإ�سدار تعليمات للمري�ض ب�سرورة اإجراء الختبار الذاتي المكون من ثلاثة اأجزاء مرة في اليوم

على الأقل. كما يجب اأن ي�ساأل المر�سى اأنف�سهم:

ما هو ملم�ض العد�سات عندما تكون على عيني؟ •كيف تبدو عيناي؟ •

هل لحظت تغيراً في قوة اإب�ساري؟ •

اإذا ما اأبلغ المري�ض عن وجود اأي م�سكلة، فيجب اإ�سدار التعليمات اإليه بنزع العد�صات على الفور. فاإذا توقفت

حالة عدم الرتياح اأو انتهت الم�سكلة فيجب على المري�ض عندئذ اأن يتفح�ض العد�سات عن قرب. في حالة

اكت�ساف اإ�سابة العد�سات باأي �سرر، فيجب األ يعيد و�سع نف�ض العد�سات مرة اأخرى على عينيه. كما يجب

على المري�ض التخل�ض من هذه العد�سات وو�سع عد�سات جديدة.

اإذا ما ات�سخت العد�سات اأو وقع عليها رم�ض اأو ج�سم غريب اأو اإذا توقفت الم�سكلة وبدت العد�سات غير مت�سررة،

فيجب توجيهه بالتخل�ض من العد�سات وا�ستبدالها باأخرى جديدة. في حالة ا�ستمرار الم�سكلة، يجب على المري�ض

األ ي�سع نف�ض العد�سات مرة اأخرى على عينيه ويجب عليه اأن ي�صت�صير على الفور اأخ�صائي العيون المخت�ص.

كما يجب توجيه المري�ض اأي�ساً باأل يقوم با�ستخدام عد�سات جديدة من تلقاء نف�سه كحل ذاتي للم�سكلة. يجب

اإعلام المري�ض باأنه في حالة حدوث اأي من الأعرا�ض ال�سابقة فلا بد اأن هناك حالة من الحالت الخطرة مثل

العدوى اأو التهاب القرنية التقرحي اأو ات�ساع الأوعية الدموية بالقرنية اأو التهاب القزحية. كما يجب توجيه

المري�ض اإلى �سرورة ال�سعي اإلى التحديد الفوري لأ�سباب الم�سكلة لدى المخت�سين مع العلاج الفوري لتجنب

حدوث اأ�سرار ج�سيمة بالعين.

قد تحدث بع�ض الآثار ال�سلبية اأثناء ال�ستخدام العلاجي نظراً لوجود مر�ض اأو اإ�سابة اأ�سلية بالعين اأو قد

يكون ذلك من اآثار ا�ستخدام العد�سات اللا�سقة. وربما يتفاقم المر�ض اأو ت�ستفحل الإ�سابة عند ا�ستخدام

العد�سات اللا�سقة المرنة للعلاج في العين الم�سابة بالمر�ض بالفعل. ويجب توجه المري�ض اإلى تجنب

اإحداث �سرر ج�سيم بالعين وذلك من خلال الت�سال باأخ�سائي العيون على الفور اإذا زادت الأعرا�ض

عند ا�ستخدام العد�سات.

التعليمات الخا�صة بالعناية بالعد�صات

عند تركيب العد�سات، يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأن يزود المري�ض بالتحذيرات والتعليمات المنا�سبة التي

تتوافق مع نوع عد�سات المري�ض وجدول ال�ستخدام. كما يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأي�ساً اأن يو�سي بنظام

رعاية منا�سب يلائم المتطلبات الفردية للمري�ض.

قد يوؤدي الف�سل في اتباع النظام ال�سحيح للعد�سات اللا�سقة اإلى حدوث اإ�سابات بالغة في العين هو كما

مو�سح في الق�سم الم�سمى »تحذيرات«

مو�صوعات اأخرى يجب مناق�صتها مع المر�صى

كن على ات�سال دائم باأخ�سائي العيون قبل ا�ستخدام اأي اأدوية بالعين. •قد ت�سبب بع�ض الأدوية كم�سادات اله�ستامين وم�سادات الحتقان ومدرات البول والعقاقير البا�سطة •

للع�سلات ومهدئات الأع�ساب والعقاقير الخا�سة باعتلال الحركة، جفافاً بالعين اأو زيادة ال�سعور بوجود

العد�سات اأو ا�سطراب الروؤية. وفي حالة وجود اأي من الحالت ال�سابقة، فيجب و�سف الإجراءات العلاجية

ال�سليمة. بناءً على �سدة الحالة، قد ت�ستمل هذه الإجراءات على ا�ستخدام قطرات التزليق التي تو�سف

للا�ستخدام مع العد�سات اللا�سقة الرقيقة اأو التوقف الموؤقت عن ا�ستخدام العد�سات اللا�سقة عند ا�ستخدام

مثل هذا العلاج.

م�ستخدمات حبوب منع الحمل قد يعانين من عدم ثبات الروؤية اأو تغير في درجة تحملهن للعد�سات • اللا�سقة. لذا يجب تنبيهنن م�سبقا لهذا ال�ساأن.

كما هو الحال بالن�سبة لأي نوع من العد�سات اللا�سقة، تكون زيارات المتابعة �سرورية من اأجل �سمان • الحفاظ على �سلامة عين المري�ض. كما يجب توجيه المري�ض باتباع جدول المتابعة المو�سى به.

من الذي يجب اإخباره با�صتخدام عد�صات ل�صقة؟

اأخبر الطبيب )اأخ�سائي الرعاية ال�سحية( باأنك ترتدي العد�سات اللا�سقة. •اأخبر �ساحب العمل دائماً باأنك ترتدي عد�سات ل�سقة. بع�ض الوظائف قد تتطلب اأجهزة حماية للعين •

اأو قد ت�سترط األ يرتدي الموظف عد�سات ل�سقة.

التفاعلات العك�صية

يجب اإحاطة علم المري�ض باأن الم�ساكل الآتية قد تحدث عند ارتداء العد�سات اللا�سقة

:ACUVUE® & SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses

قد يكون هناك �سعور بحرقان اأو وخز و/اأو �سعور ب�سرورة حك العين. •قد ينتاب المري�ض ال�سعور بعدم الرتياح عندما يتم تركيب العد�سات للمرة الأولى. •

قد ينتاب المري�ض �سعور بوجود �سيء ما بالعين )ج�سم غريب اأو حكة(. •ومن المحتمل حدوث ق�سور موؤقت في الروؤية نتيجة للر�سح الطرفي وقُرح بالقرنية الطرفية وتاآكل للقرنية. • ومن المحتمل اأي�ساً ظهور علامات ف�سيولوجية اأخرى، مثل ال�ست�سقاء المو�سعي اأو العام وتمدد ال�سعيرات

الدموية داخل القرنية وبقع القرنية وحقن وا�سطرابات بالجفن والتهابات القزحية والملتحمة، التي تكون

بع�سها مقبولة من الناحية الإكلينيكية عند اقت�سارها على عدد محدود

قد يكون هناك قدر زائد من الدموع اأو اإفرازات غير معتادة من العين اأو احمرار بالعين. •قد يحدث �سعف لحدة الإب�سار وعدم و�سوح الروؤية وروؤية اأقوا�ض قزح اأو هالت حول الأ�سياء اأو رهاب •

ال�سور اأو جفاف العين اإذا ما تم ارتداء العد�سات با�ستمرار اأو تم ارتداوؤها لمدة طويلة.

الحتياطات الخا�صة با�صتخدام العد�صات

في حالة الت�ساق العد�سات بالعين )التوقف عن الحركة(، قم باإتباع التوجيهات المو�سى بها في »العناية • بالعد�سات اللا�سقة«. يجب اأن تتحرك العد�سات بحرية على العين من اأجل �سمان �سلامة العين و�سحتها.

في حالة ا�ستمرار عدم حركة العد�سات، فيجب توجيه المري�ض اإلى �سرورة ا�ست�سارة اأخ�سائي العيون على الفور.

ل ترتدي العد�سات لمدة تتجاوز المدة التي يو�سي بها اأخ�سائي العيون. •في حالة ا�ستخدام منتجات الإيرو�سول مثل بخاخ ال�سعر اأثناء و�سع العد�سات ينبغي توخي الحذر واإغلاق •

العينين حتى النتهاء من تثبيت بخاخ ال�سعر.

تجنب كافة الأبخرة والأدخنة ال�سارة والمهيجة اأثناء ا�ستخدام العد�سات. •يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأن يحذر المري�ض ب�ساأن و�سع العد�سات اأثناء ممار�سته للاأن�سطة المائية •

وخا�سة ال�سباحة والريا�سات المائية الأخرى. قد تتعر�ض العد�سات اللا�سقة للماء اأثناء ال�سباحة

اأو خلال التواجد في حمام �سباحة ذي درجة حرارة مرتفعة مما يزيد من خطر عدوى العين ب�سبب

الكائنات الدقيقة.

بعد اتباع جدول ال�ستخدام المو�سى به، تخل�ض دائماً من العد�سات التي �سبق ا�ستخدامها على النحو الذي • ي�سفه اأخ�سائي العيون.

الحتياطات الخا�صة بالمحلول

يجب عدم ا�ستخدام محاليل مختلفة في نف�ض الوقت فلي�ست جميع المحاليل ماأمونة ال�ستخدام مع جميع • العد�سات. لذا، ا�ستخدم المحاليل المو�سى بها فقط.

يجب على المري�ض األ يغيّر المحاليل دون الرجوع اإلى اأخ�سائي العيون وا�ست�سارته. •.(RGP( ل ت�ستخدم لتنظيف العد�سات اللينة محاليل العد�سات اللا�سقة ال�سلبة المنفذة للغاز •

ا�ستخدم دائماً العد�سات ومحاليل العناية الجديدة غير منتهية ال�سلاحية. •اتبع دائماً التعليمات الموجودة داخل العبوة والخا�سة با�ستخدام محاليل العد�سات اللا�سقة. •

النك�سارية وتكوينات الت�سميم ومحيطات واأبعاد المواد الداخلة في �سنع العد�سات باأعداد كبيرة. ومن هنا

فعند اختيار الت�سميم والأبعاد المنا�سبة للعد�سات يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأن ي�سع في اعتباره جميع

خوا�ض العد�سات التي يمكن اأن توؤثر على اأداء العد�سات و�سحة العين بما في ذلك درجة انتقال الأوك�سجين،

والقابلية للترطيب، وال�سماكة المركزية وعلى الأطراف، وقطر المنطقة الب�سرية بالعد�سة.

يجب عدم ا�صتخدام العد�سات اللا�سقة ACUVUE® & SUREVUE® Brand Contact Lenses عند وجود

اإ�سابة التجويف الداخلي للعين بالتهاب حاد اأو �سبه حاد اأو عدوى. •اأمرا�ض اأو اإ�سابات العين اأو اختلال وظائف العين التي توؤثر على القرنية اأو الملتحمة اأو الجفون. •

الإ�صتخدام المتوا�صل وخلال النوم

يُن�سح با�ستخدام العد�سات اللا�سقة ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses للاإ�ستخدام المتوا�سل وخلال

النوم )اأكثر من 24 �ساعة، �ساملة اأوقات النوم( على النحو المو�سح في الجدول 1، ويمكن ا�ستخدامها ب�سكل

م�ستمر لمدة 7 اأيام/6 ليال ويجب التخل�ض منها فور نزعها من العين. وعند ا�ستخدامها على هذا النحو

فلي�ص هناك داعي للتنظيف اأو التعقيم.

كما يُو�سى بتقييم تجربة ال�سخ�ض الذي يرتدي العد�سات اللا�سقة للمرة الأولى وذلك وفقاً لجدول ال�ستخدام

اليومي – الإ�ستعمال المتكرر. فاإذا ما تراءى لأخ�سائي العيون اأن حالة المري�ض توؤهله ارتداء العد�سات

للاإ�ستخدام المتوا�سل وخلال النوم ، ففي هذه الحالة يجب عليه اأن يحدد جدولً ل�ستخدام العد�سات في

�سوء تفاعل المري�ض.

وبمجرد نزع العد�سات من هذا النوع، يُو�سى باأن تظل العد�سة خارج العين لبقية الليلة اأو لفترة اأطول

من ذلك. كما يجب على اأخ�سائي العيون اأن يفح�ض المري�ض خلال المراحل الأولى من ارتدائه لعد�سات

الإ�ستخدام المتوا�سل وخلال النوم.
