The way the air goes into the human respiratory tract, as it is with any other functioning in the

human body is a scientific marvel. Right from the nose, nasopharynx to the terminal

bronchioles and alveoli, there are many physiological processes that take place and lead to the

smooth gaseous exchange at the alveoli. Any pathology that can disturb this AIR-WAY is lethal

in the acute stage. Thus the CME AIR-WAY was born to provide an update on Acute Airway

Obstruction and Its Management.

Department of ENT, Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri conducted a Continuing

Medical Education Program AIR-WAY 2016 - Acute Airway Obstruction and Its Management on

24.01.2016.

The CME program was awarded two credit hours by the Karnataka Medical Council for a

program schedule lasting eight hours which included Lectures and Question & Answer Session

on Acute Airway Obstruction and Its Management.

Details of the Participants:

A total of 130 delegates attended the CME including doctors from all specialties.
