Acument Australia is specifically oriented to meet the dynamic needs of the Aerospace, Airline and Defence industries.

We offer various products supporting AN, MS, NAS, MIL, BAC, BAE, and ANSA approved components, in addition to approvals by CASA and Australian Department of Defence.

To ensure that the highest levels of quality and service are maintained Acument Australia has adopted an ISO 9000 based quality system.

Acument is the sole Australasian factory appointed distributor for Avibank, Zephyr, Hishear (LISI), Monogram, Clickbond, Cherry, Avdel and FTI amongst others to provide product support and advice in addition to the supply of fasteners and installation tooling. Our services cover a wide range of activities from providing full JIT and kitting programs to simple repair supply systems.

Acument™ Global Technologies Australia:

Acument™ Global Technologies Australian business has established warehouses and sales offices to service our customers needs. Each location has Technical Sales Engineers who are trained to provide our customers with solutions to complex fastening problems.

Acument™ Global Technologies Aerospace/Defence History within Australia.

Acument™ started trading in Australia in 1965 under the UK based Avdel® banner. Avdel® originally stood for Aviation Developments and was the designer and developer of the various fastening systems for Aircraft.

In the 1990’s Avdel Global was acquired by Textron and the name was changed to Textron Fastening Systems (TFS). All through these years Avdel® in conjunction with Cherry Aerospace® (Another division of TFS) continued to develop fastening and fastening installation system solutions. Both the Avdel® and the Cherry® brands as synonymous with the Aerospace Industry today and both are represented in Australia by Acument.

In 2006/7 TFS was acquired by Platinum equity, the new global trading name was Acument™ Global Technologies. This had no effect on the way Australia traded in fact it escalated the activities into the Aerospace industry where Acument Acquired Saturn Fasteners and revamped the Camcar® Aerospace manufacturing
