The teachers of STC, being the members of Board of Studies suggested to introduce need based new course on Social Work for Disability nlanJ!"ement. The Department organized two days workshop on Disaster Management withcollaboration of Foundation for Rights of young child, chennai.
The department celebrates Disaster Management Day and demo on fire rescueand preparedness during disasters.
As per direction given by BOS members incorporated all the changes whichwas necessary for 2015-2016 syllabus.The case work and group Work course was separated into different course andintroduced as a new core course.Multi drug resistance, H1N1 and EBOLA are added in Social Work Interventionin Medical Settings.NIRD, SIRD, CAPART and NABARD are added in Rural communityDevelopment.Central Government rural development programmes were added in the subjectof Rural Community Development.Disaster Management course introduced as a core paper for enhancing theiremployability.New Course on Event Management and Social Marketing" introduced as a corepaper.
