IntroductionThereare no fewer than100causes forcanceras

citedinthescientificliterature.Theauthorsbelieve

that the primary cause for cancer is the post

industrial era; we call it "civilization disease."

Although the industrial revolution brought many

marvelsandconveniencestoourmodernsociety,it

alsobroughtmanydiseases thatwerealmostnon

existent in thepast. Nevertheless, theActouarios

approach to cancer, named in honor of Byzantine

imperial physicians, is the culmination of natural

therapiesofthewisdomofthepast.Twophysicians

thatdeservespecialmentionfromthe20thCentury

are Savvas Savvidis MD from Cyprus and Arthur

KornbergMDfromtheUSA. Inthe1940sSavvidis

was a proponent of the fruit therapy with extra

emphasisongrape therapy.Savvidis' intuition falls

inlinewithKornberg,thewinneroftheNobelPrize

in medicine in 1959. What Savvidis recommends

definitelyaffects theDNApolymerasemechanisms

asdescribedbyKornberg.Thus the culminationof

ancient and modern science brings forth the

Actouarios approach to cancer therapy. However,

the authors of this discovery (or rediscovery) are

cognizantof the fact that a comprehensive cancer

care approach must be implemented for optimal

outcomes. The authors feel very strongly that the

firstmonth of any cancer therapymust startwith

the"ActouariosProtocol." Thiswillallowthecancer

patient to recover quickly and aid the treating

physician to obtain very desirable outcomes. In

closing,theActouariosapproachcanbesuccessfully

used with traditional and integrative or natural

oncology,withoutanyknownsideeffects.

TheAimOur aim is to establish officially a pro/meta

integrative dietaryherbal protocol for cancer

therapy. We seek to incorporate a therapeutic
