The Following table outlines the Activity list for the project. This document provides a

comprehensive list of all activities on the project. This list includes a scope of work description for

each activity, with sufficient detail for a clear understanding of what is required to be carried out.

1012 Prepare Preliminary Health and Safety Plan

For this activity a preliminary Health and Safety Plan must be prepared in accordance with Regulation 12 of S.I. No. 504 of 2006 Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 2006.

1015 Design Sewer Network This activity requires the design of a suitably sized sewer network to transport waste water from the collection point at the rear of the engineering building to the treatment plant and to the discharge point at the eastern entrance to the campus. This will include all piping, connections, pumps etc.

This activity includes the sizing and design of mechanical influent screens for the removal of large solids and grit from the influent.

1017 Design of Influent Equalisation System

For this activity a number of elements must be designed; including, flow inlet, pre-cast concrete holding tank and outflow pumping system.

1018 Design Treatment Basins This activity involves the design of two No. pre-cast concrete treatment basins to allow for redundancy, maintenance, high flows, and seasonal variations.

1020 Design Aeration System This activity requires the design an air blower system for the treatment basins, designed to incorporate several air blower, versus a single unit. The design should allow units to be taken off line when maximum aeration is not required.

1021 Design Post Basin Flow Equalisation For this activity an effluent equalisation system must be designed to smooth out flow variations prior to downstream processes. This will require the design of a pre-cast concrete holding tank and discharge system.

This activity consists of preparation and completion of interviews of shortlisted contractors. The interviews should aim to exhibit the contractor’s qualification, and experience on similar projects before.

The project Scope, Project Charter, a Milestone List, the Risk Register, a resource calendar, cost and project baseline all have to be set up and identified.
