Activity book for children

Hello! My name is Jimmy, and I use Navina Systems to help me poo. Nowadays me and my mum decide when I go to the toilet – and I have far fewer accidents now. That is great, it was a bit embarrassing before.

I heard you will start using Navina Systems too – good for you. Let me help you learn the different parts of the system. I have also made a few tricky activities for you. You will find them by the orange arrows. Hope you like them!

Now, let’s become Navina stars together!

To caregiversThis activity book is made for children who are about start using Navinatm Systems for transanal irrigation (TAI). Sometimes it can take some time to get used to new routines and procedures, and we believe getting your child involved right from the start is a good way to make them feel more in control.

The aim of this book is to make your child familiar with their Navina Systems and its components. We hope that this will make everyone in the family feel more secure with both the product and the procedure.

This book serves as a guide for you as a parent when helping your child learn about the different parts of the Navina System. It includes stepwise instructions that you can go through together. Please reward your child for each step they complete correctly. We encourage you to let your child handle, feel and put the system to-gether in your company.

The book also includes some fun and tricky activities. These are marked with orange arrows.

Good luck!

4. Color the control unit/pump in your favorite colors! Also mark with an X where to press to deflate the balloon.

Connecting the tubes:• Remove the little caps that are screwed onto the control unit. You can throw them away, they are only to keep the control unit clean when transporting it.• Note that the tube-ends (connectors) have different colors. The dark blue tube connectors fit the blue connectors on the water container and the control unit/pump. • Start with connecting the tube to the water container (dark blue to dark blue). Then connect the other end of the tube to the pump/control unit (dark blue to dark blue). • Connect the second tube, with light blue end connectors.• First connect the tube to the pump/control unit (remember, light blue connector, to light blue tube end). • Take out the catheter/cone and open the package just a little, as you learned on previous page. • Connect the catheter to the tube (light blue to lighet blue)
