SAMOT has planned and arranged a 5p (7.5 ECTS) postgraduate course in travel behaviour research during the spring of 2007. The course features lectures by renowned researchers in the field. The lecturers include Jörgen Garvill (Umeå

The board meets three times a year. A work schedule was drawn up during the stage which describes the work of the board more closely (see www.kau.se/samot). * In December 2006, Lennart Jangälv decided to step down as the Chair of SAMOT since he had resigned as the MD of Stockholm Transport. The board then appointed an election committee tasked with nominating a new candidate for the Chair, supported by all the partner companies. Ann-Sofie Chudi (Head of Development, Greater Stockholm Public Transport) was elected as the new Chair of SAMOT in May 2007.

An international advisory board was set up during the year. The following people sit on the SAMOT international advisory board:

The following are regarded to be especially important areas for discussion by the board: the future evolution of public transport and important research issues, future research collaborations, and the role of SAMOT in the international arena. An initial meeting took place between the board, the management team, and the international advisory board in Karlstad on 15 May 2007. Parts of the management team have visited Timmermans i Eindhoven, the Netherlands (March 2008) and Mokhtarian in the USA (June 2007).
