SAHAJ IT CLUB

Introduction:

The Information Technology (IT) Club at Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce &

Management provides students with opportunities to discuss various IT issues outside

the classroom in order to create a greater appreciation for and understanding of

technology. Students plan field trips, guest lectures, and special events during the year;

In addition to their own education, IT Club members strive to educate the masses on the

use of technology.

This club is basically formed to enhance skill level of student other than regular

curriculum and give benefits to student who wants to do more activity with their talent

in the field of computer technology & networking. Club also focuses on personality

development programs through live activities from industrial environment.

Activities :

Ethical hacking understanding & concept evaluation.

Aptitude, General knowledge & Reasoning Question practice papers for skill

enhancement.

Study material-related to subjects (covering all IIT & NIT slides).

Networking Fundamentals for exposure towards information technology.

Gain attention from social networking sites with rich source of information.

Various project have been discussed among the members.

Statement of Purpose:

To help students understand up-to-date computer technology. Review Current

hardware and software products. Explore different areas of interest. create a social

environment where students with various technology experiences come together and

share information with one another. Provide technology resources for less fortunate

individuals in the form of charitable giving and volunteerism.

took a lecture on “Imparting Knowledge of Computer Hardware”

where he displayed various hardware devices like light pen,

wireless mouse, motherboard, chips etc.

Sir has started session with the introduction of computer

hardware. He also has explained types of network, importance of

network, Characteristics of network, layers of network, Servers

etc. He has guided students by live demonstration of connection

between networks. It became much useful session for all the

students. Total 36 students were present.

Activity Detail : A dynamic website contains information that changes,

depending on the viewer, the time of the day, the time zone, the

viewer's native language, and other factors. A dynamic website

can contain client-side scripting or server-side or both scripting

types. With client-side scripting, HTML scripting builds the page

and can utilize JavaScript and other web-based programming

languages. With server-side scripting, scripts are run on the

server that hosts the page.

As part of curricular activities, Student must have knowledge

regarding concern field. For this purpose SSCCM had organized

presentations. Every group was bombarded with questions after the

presentations which were handled quite tactfully by the students.

Prior to the announcement of winners, the judges gave their comments

and words of wisdom to the students so as to further improve their

presentations and take it to a higher level. It was very motivating to

hear them. The 2 prize winners were presented with certificates.

Activity Detail : A softskill Seminar was organized for the student which was

undertaken by the Ms. Hirva Vora faculty of English on “Corporate

Grooming & Etiquette, HR Round Interview and Group discussion”

for the final year students of SSCCM. First one hour of seminar began

with identifying the differences between CV, resume and bio data. In

the training program, the students were taught about some good

etiquette to be followed while attending interviews. Tips and

guidelines for attending HR interview were also dealt in detail.

In the second hour, trainers gave tips to write attractive CV also

advised what the things to be written in CV. Trainers also focused on

what is group discussion, how to take part in group discussion, Dos

and Don’ts in group discussion. Total 65 students were presented.

In Computer Science, A network is a collection of computers,

servers, mainframes, network devices, peripherals, or other devices

connected to one another to allow the sharing of data. Organization

uses number of computers and communication tools. Computer

network allows the user to access remote program and database

either from same organization or from other organization.

Activity Name : TECHNO TEST – AN IT QUIZ COMPETITION

Place : Sahaj Auditorium, SSCCM Campus, Bhavnagar

Participants : All B.C.A. and M. Sc.-IT students

Activity Detail : Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative, which

Provides Excitement among the students and also make them

aware of current IT knowledge. The students of BCA and MSCIT in

which Five different houses with five fervent participants in each

house gave tough battle to each other. Rules and regulations of the

quiz were explained at the beginning. It was interesting three-

round competition, including objective questions with options

round, buzzer round and audio-visual round, which engaged the

students for one hour. The students showcased their brilliance by

rapidly answering the questions. Though some of the questions

were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence.

25 students of 5 team participated in this competition. Although

the teams participated actively, the team that scored the most was

Blue House, It was very informative and knowledge enriching

competition for the participants along with the audience.
