Activate or Remove Milling Operation

Use these instructions as a guide for adding or removing the milling operation, using the ABB Teach Pendant.

The following MUST BE TRUE before you before you begin step 1:• The robot is in the Home position• There are no castings that are loaded.• The robot is in Teach mode.

1. Press the Program key. It is circled in the image below:

2. Press the Special key, a drop down menu appears. The special button is circled in the image below:

3. Select “Move PP to Main” in the Special drop down menu. As circled in the image below:

4. Press Enter, using the key indicated in the image:

5. Using the arrow keys, scroll to the line that says: SKIP_ALL_MILL:=?TRUE;

6. Using the arrow keys, scroll to the right until the word TRUE is highlighted. Press Enter. A prompt appears to enter the code.

7. Using the number pad, enter the code. Press enter. The following screen looks like this:

8. Enable, or disable milling

1. If you want to skip the milling operation then highlight TRUE. Press Enter.

2. If you do not want to skip milling: highlight False. Press Enter.

9. Press OK.

10. Press the Special key, a drop down menu appears. The special button is circled in the image below:

11. Select “Move PP to Main” in the Special drop down menu. As circled in the image below:

12. Press Enter, using the key indicated in the image:

13. Put the cell back in Auto.
