Over the last decade, as rainwater tanks entered the urban environment, ATI saw the need for families and children to be protected. Action Underground Systems have a reduced tank access point of 150mm from the standard 400mm hole (a 62.5% reduction). Action aboveground tanks are fitted with child safe inserts / first flush diverters. These designs prevent children from accessing the internal area of the tank.

Action Tank Industries (ATI), 100% Australian owned and operated, is a leader in the Rainwater Tank Manufacturing Industry. Producing high quality steel and polyethylene rainwater tanks (meeting Australian Standards AS4020/AS2070), Watermarked rainwater harvesting systems (WMKA21355), wastewater and stormwater management systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Our Head Office and manufacturing base is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast at Noosa in Queensland, Australia. From here we manufacture and distribute our products throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

In 2009 we acquired the ex-Nylex factory at Bundaberg and revived the trusted Qld brand ‘Complas™’, now branded Action Tanks Complas™. As part of this expansion we offer an agricultural line, further septic and greywater products and a new style of aboveground tanks and swimming pools.

The Watermarked Action Switch Box is a complete pre-assembled mains water diversion system for aboveground tanks that automatically controls the water supply for non-drinking applications.

FIRST FLUSH DIVERTER 22L ‘Child Safe’


First Flush Diverters improve water quality, reduce tank maintenance and protect assets such as pumps, toilet systems and washing machines. This is achieved by preventing the first flush of water, which may contain contaminants from the roof, from entering the system.

The Action child-safe first flush diverter consists of a collection chamber, in which the water is diverted to. As it fills the float ball rises to the top, sealing the chamber and allowing a free flow of clean water into the rainwater tank system. The diverted water is slowly drained away from the first flush collection chamber.

Fitted with a stainless steel mesh strainer and strong upper ledge, the diverter significantly reduces contaminates and vermin entering the tank, and also prevents children accessing the internal area.

This unit is completely concealed within the tank for a smooth clean look and is suitable for all tanks with circular inlet strainers. In addition, the aboveground internal first flush diverter acts as a child safe barrier, strong enough to hold an adults weight, preventing children from accessing the internal area of a tank and the contained water.

DUAL-FLOW BYPASS FIRST FLUSH DIVERTER


An inline fi ltration unit with continuous fl ow, the dual-flow byPaSS firSt fluSH divErtEr works to reduce contaminants and vermin entering the system, signifi cantly improving the water quality. This inline fi ltration unit also incorporates a 30L fi rst-fl ush chamber. Specifi cally designed to suit various downpipe connection requirements, it can be fi tted with either 2 x 100mm or 1 x 150mm inlets onsite by the plumber. Outlets may also be varied on request to 150mm in place of the standard 100mm outlet pipe.

With a leaf strainer incorporated, the dual-flow byPaSS firSt fluSH divErtEr is a dry system and functions by fl owing the rainfall into a collection chamber, removing any debris and allowing clean water to enter the tank. The excess water (after rainfall) drains through a small outlet at the base into a gravel pit beneath.

During heavy rainfall the water level will rise and spill to the storm water drain via the top 100mm outlet, thus bypassing excess water without compromising the hydraulic fl ow.

The dv200, 200L fi rst fl ush diverter with 150mm O-ring Seal Sockets, consists of an in-ground collection chamber, in which the water is diverted from the roof downpipes. As it fi lls with rainwater the fl oat ball rises to the top of the 90˚SW junction sealing the 1st fl ush in the lower chamber and allowing a free fl ow of clean water into the system. The diverted water is slowly drained away from the tank into a gravel pit below.

PUMP OUT 360 - roof water collection pit with built in trash screen and adjustable riser


The PumP out 360 functions as a roof water collection pit, designed to fi t in existing piping infrastructure, in which a pump can be placed inside to pump out to the required locality (eg. water storage facility or stormwater infrastructure). The pit has an inbuilt 5mm aluminium trash screen to capture leaves and coarse debris. The riser is adjustable and has a pedestrian traffi cable lid designed to be inverted and fi lled with concrete to provide a strong solid cover that matches pebble/paved surface.

The 2 x 150mm S/W o-ring seal sockets with joint connector accepts 150mm DWV. Fitted with a 50mm electrical conduit connector allowing for easy installation of the pump*.

READY4 - grey water Pit with adjustable riser and built-in action hair/lint filter


The rEady4 greywater Pit, a retention pit, acts as a buffer between the house and greywater treatment system (package available with ATNovaGrey), allowing greywater to be pumped slowly into the system. It has the capacity to hold up to 360L.

The action hair & lint fi lter catches any hair and lint particles from the incoming grey water ensuring the pumping of debris-free grey water to an adjacent Greywater treatment system.

Supplied with the 100mm PVC pipe in full length, the pit can be installed at time of drainage installation allowing drains to run as normal. Upon installation of the greywater treatment system, the mid-section of pipe can be cut and removed to allow water to fl ow into the chamber and overfl ow to the sewer pipe.

SEPTIC & GREYWATER TANKS


Action Tanks Complas’ range of septic & greywater storage tanks provide superior wastewater management solutions for domestic households. They are designed and manufactured to requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1546.1 - On-site domestic wastewater treatment units - Septic tanks.

Constructed from UV stabilised polyethylene (Pe) in a one-piece rotational mould, this range of tanks is simple to install, requiring no heavy lifting equipment, and is more resistant to cracking as a result of differential ground movement than traditional concrete septic tanks. The unique fl anged design eliminates the possibility of any hydrostatic lift of the tanks on sites where the water table is a consideration.

Septic tanks are fi tted with an internal T-piece pipe that allows an infl ow of wastewater and discharge outlet to absorption trenches etc, along with 100mm inlet/outlet portals, and a 550mm access cover.

Greywater / pump out pits have a 100mm inlet pipe, and a 550mm manhole cover for ease of cleanout & maintenance.

ATNOVACLEAR - domestic waste water recycling System


The atnovaclEar domestic wastewater recycling System, incorporates commercial membrane technology in a domestic sized system. atnovaclEar is a compact, lightweight, single-tank system, which recycles both black and greywater. The system uses breakthrough MembraneSafe technology, functioning like a human kidney to breakdown wastewater for above ground irrigation.

The system works as wastewater passes through the membranes and contaminants are removed, which can result in safe Class A water, 99.9999% free of pathogens.

In 2006 the atnovaclEar system was recognised as the “fi rst in the world” to be certifi ed for above ground irrigation in QLD - without further disinfection such as chlorine, ozone or UV.

Wet Gross Pollutant Trap(WGPT)

- Venting by-pass provides a siphon break, is mozzie proofed with S/S mesh. This provides one position only for the tray so that best flow characteristics are maintained in the silt retention chamber.

- Inverted cone shaped baffle that raises the point of high velocity water flow to the invert of the outlet.

- Round Grate for ease of outlet connection. Rotate the WGPT to the direction of stormwater connection saving expensive 150mm fittings

- Round Grate removes the difficulty of aligning square grates with building form and edges.

- The tray is tapered into the buoyant debris retention and pump out tube.

- Aperture in the tray produce a rain effect into the sediment chamber which reduces the concentration of water flow thus providing for quicker separation of hydrocardbons (oil/ kero etc) and water born sediment.

- The tray does not retain silt, which can dry out and be reactivated by wind and blown out. Over thirty 200mm x 2mm radial slots in the tray produces a rain effect into the retntion chamber thus reducing water current concentration and maximises silt separation and retention.
