CATERINgaction can offer an extensive range of menu options to suit all requirements covering a full range of services throughout the day, these can be supported with special themed events on a regular basis to enhance the overall dining experience.

Menu plans are developed under the advice of professional dietician’s. The personal needs - demographics, medical, cultural requirements are considered in every menu plan to ensure the satisfaction of all the people we catering for.

Menu Compilation is not only about the food, it should encompass the whole eating experience including key attributes within the dining room such as ambience, décor and general design. We work closely with clients to compile and review menus on a regular basis to bring variety, reflect seasonal changes and prevent menu fatigue.

gOODS SUPPLYThe supply of quality goods to site is crucial to the successful operating of the contract and the services we provide. our supplier chain plays a major part in this and therefore it is vital

that attention is given to making sure that each supplier is aware of their contractual obligations to provide quality standards reflective in the goods and services provided to site.

WET CANTEENgenerally seen as the main ‘Social hub’ on site, action always endeavours to endorse a ‘home away from home’ environment. We will help gain maximum benefit and utilization of this space

through regular promotional, social and themed activities. From application submittal, ordering and ownership of the licence we can take care of it all.

RETAILThe provision of a retail service is usually operated as part of the overall Wet Canteen function. it can however, also be established as an independent service. Retail outlets generally carry a wide range of confectionery snacks, soft drinks, water and personal toiletries.

ACCOMMODATION SERVICESproviding an efficient accommodation service is an essential part of the village management process. Working in conjunction with the site administration team specific attention is required to manage the rooms allocation requirements efficiently and effectively in line with employees fly in fly out rosters. action can provide a computer generated accommodation package which can be tailored to suit the exact requirements and layout on site. To assist with this process the system can produce various reports to aid the recording of site man day numbers.

BUILDINg LEASEDepending on the project size action can assist in providing alternative options for lease buildings. These can include incorporating ‘Turn-key projects’ including buildings, additional support services and various catering options, ideally providing a one-stop-shop facility. if required there may also be an opportunity to extend this to incorporate a hire option through a provider or to establish a purchase arrangement over a period.

MANAgED LABOUR HIREaction can provide a managed labour hire service, supplying experienced staff such as project managers, administrators, chef managers, cooks, utilities etc. Staff supplied will posses the relevant experience, recognized trade certificates and will have been processed through action’s company induction process.

of 4wd ‘polaris’ or similar style buggies to assist in the safe operating of this service.

Action’s Quality Standards System is certified against the ISO 9001:2008 (Catering and Management System) industry standard. As part of this accreditation the company undergoes an audit every six months which encompasses both head office and site respectively.

Our quality assurance plan clearly details areas such as Hazard Control, Food Operational Procedures, Goods Ordering and Receival plus the relevant processes and procedures relating to maintaining quality standards across all services provided.

qUALITY MANAgEMENT Through our structured auditing process we strive to achieve our visions and values in relation to the Quality, Service and Commitment we provide to our clients. This is reflected in our continued success and award of the industry-recognized iSo 9001:2008 accreditation relating to Catering and Support Services. our drive to maintain this standard is evident through our company documentation and the supporting information we can provide onsite.

as part of this accreditation the company undergoes an audit every six months which encompasses both head office and site respectively. This covers all aspects and completion of the required paperwork and procedures as detailed within our master Flow Chart Documentation. (a copy of this is issued to all sites as a guide.)

qUALITY AUDITSas part of this process various internal audits are completed in order to review, evaluate and monitor the service and standards being provided. These will occur over a set duration, i.e. daily, weekly, monthly and six-monthly and will run in conjunction with additional Marketing/ Site Standard audits which are completed by Senior head office personnel during their scheduled site visits.

SAFETY MANAgEMENT our company safety management systems are uniquely designed in order to facilitate the various sizes of contracts which we operate. in order to make them more applicable for each site, plans and procedures can be presented and implemented as separate documents or encompassed as a whole. official audits and risk assessments are regularly carried out before beginning and throughout contracts, across all operations as part of our Safety Management plan and Quality Standards procedures.

PLANS, PRODCEDURES AND POLICIES all our site documentation fits under a specific policy, for example; Quality, Safety, environmental, etc. This is subsequently supported by the plans and procedures detailing the specific tasks required to be followed. The style and format of this reporting documentation is designed to allow all levels of personnel to be involved in the completion and understanding of the process. on award of the contract these plans will, where applicable, be made site-specific and tailored in accordance with the tender requirements.

MOBILIzATIONMobilization covers all aspects of initiating the contract from the recruiting and selection of trained personnel, the logistical requirements through to the commencement of the additional services and the

serving of the first meal. all stages are discussed, planned and strategically laid out in accordance with the Mobilization plan. This plan is controlled by our Business Development Team incorporating input from all key departments such as operations, human Resources, Quality and purchasing. This plan becomes a ‘working document’ which is regularly reviewed, updated and communicated with the relevant people onsite.

THE ENVIRONMENTWorking in conjunction with a recognized specialist in environmental policies and procedures, we have developed a comprehensive environmental Management plan (eMp) to cover all key environmental issues.

Recycling and the use of waste reduction processes such as the ‘ecovim’ System are key environmental initiatives that action actively promotes as an option to enhance the service offer. The introduction of such initiatives clearly have a positive impact on site.

FEEDBACK Customer feedback is crucial to any operation and when constructive it can be seen and used as a positive tool in the overall quality monitoring process. at action, we encourage participation and feedback from our customers relating to any area in which we provide a service, be it through the standard of food, servicing of the rooms or the selection of films shown in the movie theatre.

SIgNATURE DISHevery chef has a Signature Dish which is their own creation and encapsulates their own philosophy. it’s generally the first to grace their menu and the last to leave. MEAT STANDARDS AUSTRALIA (MSA)at action all our ‘grilling steaks’ comply to the MSa quality grade standard of meat, which we believes enhances the meal experience. MSa is a beef and lamb meat eating quality program designed to take the guesswork out of buying and cooking australian red meat. MSa provides an endorsement of quality for graded cuts of red meat indicating product has met quality standards for tenderness, juiciness and flavour.

STEAK BUzzER PAgINg SYSTEMWhile we prepare your steak, fish or chicken exactly to your liking you should have the freedom to visit the bar, go outside or just sit down while waiting. introduce a Buzzer paging System and we can alert your residents as soon as their ‘Cook to order Meal’ is ready for collection, fresh and straight from the hot plate.
