Long term Goals• Effectively passing on knowledge to students about their own
homeland, so that this knowledge sustains inside of them for the time to come.
• Adapting to modern day teaching methods for ‘Urdu’, to make it more interesting and increase the appreciation of language amongst students.
Short term Goals• Trying new approaches to teaching, which fits in with the
students better and allows them to absorb knowledge that is being passed onto them.
• Change my questioning strategies to promote critical thinking.• Encourage collaboration amongst students. Communication
between students always acts as a medium for them to analyze the lesson, and develop interest in it.
Instructional Strategies & Tasks• Conducting more question and answer sessions for students,
as it promotes and improves thinking skills.• Providing time to students to discuss with each other,
allowing them to form opinions about the topic.• Asking students questions that bring out the feelings in them,
and allow them to share how they feel about their country in general, as this topic ‘Hamara Watan’ is about ‘Pakistan’.

used to gather information about the topic.• Information from personal experiences of like minded peers
about the topic ‘Hamara Watan’ can be blended into the lesson plan to make it more interesting.
• A laptop and Ms. PowerPoint can be used to make slides and show photos to students to make the lesson more understandable.
