What is ELIANT?

ELIANT is an alliance o 10 European associations o applied anthroposophyand nutrition, medicine, mainstream and special needs education. ELIANT is which advocates humanitarian and cultural aims.

Aims of the AllianceHuman dignity and individual development are core values o European culture, to whose evolution Rudol Steiners inplied anthroposophy have contributed or over 80 years. Especially in the elds o agriculture, education, special needs medicine, humane approaches o the highest quality have been developed, and ound world-wide acknowledgementThe Alliances task is to secure legal saeguards or such initiatives and to develop them urther as a contribution towardshaping o Europe.In the reality o the European context, the right to individual development or every citizen requires not only reedombut also the availability o choices. Parents must be able to choose schools which accord with their educational convperson should be able to access the medical care and type o diet that corresponds to his way o lie. In Europe, basicrights should not be restricted in such a way as to disadvantage these cultural initiatives. The Alliance is setting the copursuing this aim.This necessitates basic social and legal policies to underpin institutions and developments which saeguard and suppoo dierent liestyles. Pluralism o scientic methods, and reedom o research and teaching must be guaranteed. Freedones proession and course o training also depend on a context o social pluralism.

The Alliances work and mode of operationWe, the core members o this Alliance, agree to collaborate on the basis o a solidarity o initiatives. The Alliance will oesupport in our respective, Europe-ocused plans and campaigns. Our aim is to practise collaboration and mutual aid, wtransparency.
