Album cover displays aspects of artist identity in it’s purposefully simple style of the image and the image content itself. Being largely plain with him giving the middle finger to the observer and by not looking reflects his identity and attitude as an artist, making him seem as cool as possible and quite simply not giving a f**k. The image is an illustration rather than a photo making it seem more comical to the onlooker. The typography of the writing is another significant feature of the cover as it’s printed as if it was the signing off of a letter. Further, the impression of sincerity that is suggested by writing ‘sincerely’ is contrasted by the image on the cover which again promotes the identity of the artist. The plain background is also used to direct the observers attention to certain areas of the cover that are in colour’ i.e. the image and writing. Promoting them as the key features of the cover. An unconventional aspect of this cover is that it doesn’t feature the artists’ name on it, and seems to refer to himself as Mr Wonderful, when that is in fact the name of the album.

The single cover is used as much to promote the singular identity of this one song as it is to add to the impressions of the artists’ identity. The cover has many vibrant colours and insane visuals that are used to marry up with the name of the song, ‘actin crazy’ as the cover is a crazy mess of images, this does contrast with how the album cover had a plain, white, background, but is still similar in how the image of the artist is at the focal point of both covers. This promotes the identity of the artist as it makes him seem as cool as possible, although in a different way to the album cover. The image of the album also ties in with the video as the video is an insane series of events that follow absolutely no continuity and make no sense, just as the single cover artwork does.Unlike the album cover, the single cover is more conventional in how it has the artists’ name on it, this seems unusual for the two to have such different features.

The online advert for the album is kept very simple with just the album image and a promotional offer for buying the album at ‘store.warnermusic.com’. The use of a promotional item drives up demand for this album from this store as here is more to gain from buying it this way as it appears there is more value for money in it, again stimulating a demand. The appearance of the advert itself highlights the album as it’s a brightly coloured image on top of an all black background, doing more to draw your eye towards the image. The red and white text also compliment the each other well as they are somewhat opposing colours. The large lettering of the album title shows it’s the focus of the advert; the red lettering is also more bold and eye catching, illustrating that It’s the focus of the advert.
