CCM’S STRING QUARTET-IN-RESIDENCE

THE ARIEL QUARTETPraised by the New York Times for its “full-blooded, dynamic playing,” the Ariel Quartet’s energetic performances and soulful interpretations have impressed concertgoers

throughout the world. The Quartet brings that excitement back to CCM for its next concert season, which features works by Bartók, Beethoven, Dvorák, Schubert, Shostakovich, Widmann, Wiesenberg and more.

Series highlights also include collaborations with CCM faculty artists Soyeon Kate Lee, piano; Rachel Calin, double bass; and Ran Dank, piano.

The season will conclude with the world premiere of a new piece by Mohammed Fairouz, commissioned by Ann and Harry Santen, and CCM for the Ariel Quartet.
