Our department achieves this by providing classes and programming suitable for individuals ages 13-26 seeking post-secondary education or competitive employment. Resources also include peer support, recreational activities, and parent education. Community partners and a team of Ability Center staff create an environment full of hands-on learning facilitated on the campus of the University of Toledo. Students gain an inside look at professional entry-level employment opportunities at local job sites and attend classes to further their education on employability. Youth Transition Life Skills also provides guidance to students, schools, parents, and community agencies and promotes opportunities to maximize independence and self-sufficiency in the community.
