Now you have to figure out which difficulty

Look these numbers?

After those numbers, you see a stage name. That's the Easy difficulty. To find normal

mode, just look at stage name after the first clear2.

Follow this pattern to find Hard, Mania, Unknown, and Chaos.

Just remember that not everyone has Unknown and Chaos difficulties.

For now, choose the easy difficulty. Look at Adv tab.

I'll try to explain everything I know:

a. Stage - Choose the stage where you fight the enemy.

b. Time - Self explainatory. If you set it to 60, the battle will over in 60 secs and the CPU

will win. Set to 0 for infinite time.

c. Numb of rounds - The number of round you fight.

d. The 1st Round - Leave it as it is. If you change it, the fight will be skipped.

e. 1st Life - Again, leave it as it is. If you change it, the fight will be over in 3

f. Life Recover - I can't find anything changed in the game yet.

g. When Defeat - Leave it as it is.

h. Player start Pos - This is to change the player position in the stage. The position from

left to right are 0 - 1280.

i. When time over - If time reaches zero, the CPU win. Leave it as it is.

j. CPU Winpns - Again, leave it as it is.

k. Show round# - If checked, at the start of the fight the game will tell the player which

round it is.

l. Fighting spirit - No clue

m. WL - If you checked it, you and the enemy will always be visible on the window.

There's an imaginary wall to restrict movement.

CHOOSING THE ENEMY

Now the fun part. Choosing the enemy you'll fight. Go to CPU tab.

I'll explain how it worked:

a. Character - Choose the CPU. Use my previous list of character codes. b. CPU Level - The CPU's AI power. Set it low to make the AI dumb. Set it higher to make them smarter. The highest possible is 100. c. Start Pos - Where the CPU appear in the stage. From left to right, 0 - 1279. d. Show life - Show the CPU's health. It looks like a green bar below the enemy. Normally, it's unchecked because there's a life gauge. Might cause a bit crashes. e. Player Ignore - Check this and the CPU cannot harm you in any way. f. Method - How the CPU appear. Set it to 'from 1st' to make the CPU appear at the start of the battle.

Page 7: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

7

Set it to time, now the greyed slot will be open. Left slot will determine the exact time the CPU will come out. The right slot will make the time need for CPU a bit random. Let's say we put 60 on the first slot and 10 on the second slot. The calculation would be: When the enemy appear: (60 - 10) secs to (60 + 10) secs. So it's around 50 secs - 70 secs. Set it to life, now the 2nd greyed slot will be open. The CPU will appear when the life of another CPU(or player) on the left slot lower than the number on the right slot. For example, open the CPU2 tab and put CPU1 on the left and 100 on the right. The CPU2 will appear when CPU1's HP is less than 100. g. Enemy - Set the enemy of a CPU. For example, we open CPU1. Now check Player and CPU2. This will make CPU1 attack Player and CPU2. h. Victory Points - I don't know much about this. If your opponent is CPU1 and CPU2, their Victory points summed up must be 100 to win the fight by defeating both of them. If CPU1 has 100 and CPU2 has 50, you must defeat CPU1 to win. CPU2 is just an obstacle. i. Effects - Uses this to give winner a reward. You can use this to heal or hurt a character after the CPU defeated. j. Win Pause - Leave it as it is. k. When time - When the time over gives the player victory points.

SPAWNING CHARACTERS WHO SHARE THE SAME FILE

There are some character who share the same file with other. They are marked with Char1 // Char2 in the previous character codes. Normally, Char1 is the one who appear in the fight. For example: Shizel shares TOE8 with Nereid. If you want to spawn Nereid by placing TOE8 on the CPU slot without modification, Shizel is the one who appears. To make Char2 appear, look at the story mode. There's a nowloading, right? Before the fight against Char2, change nowloading to NOWC or NOWB or NOWA. For Kratos, choose the second TOS6. Using the first TOS6 will spawn Zelos even if you already change the nowloading.

EXPANDING THE AMOUNT OF STAGES DIFFICULTIES

In the Easy/Normal/Hard difficulty, you only fight in 4 stages. If you’re wondering how to fight in more stages in the same difficulty, you’re at the right place. We are going to mess with story mode list.

Page 9: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

9

If you try to change clear2 in Easy mode to NowLoading and then put the battle stage, you’re doing it wrong. It will be mixed with the normal difficulty. If you really want to mix Easy and Normal mode, go ahead. If you want to add more stages without mixing it with the other difficulties, read on. First off, we’re going to use Easy difficulty. Check the clear2 on the list. Right click and delete it. And then, right click on the [E], the one below the deleted clear2. Choose Add > Diversion You got a new [J] in the list. In the Divergen, leave it as ‘not’ Your task now is counting how many row you got in the list until the end. Count from [E] right below the new [J] until you found the empty row below the last clear2 and the last [E] on the list.

Page 10: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

10

I’m using Luke’s Easy Story Mode so I got 32. Put the number on the appointment. After that, go back to the empty last row and right click on it. Choose Add > Special Demo Insert NowLoading or NOWA or NOWB or NOWC as you see fit. Right click on the empty slot again and Choose Add > Special Fight. Costumize the stage and CPU as you wish. Follow this pattern until you want to stop. When you want to stop, right click the empty row right after the last Special Fight. Choose Add > Special Demo and insert clear2. Do you want to add secret boss if you win all the fights? Use this method but change the Divergen from ‘not’ to ‘winning all the fight’. Use NOWC before the start of battle.

EXAMPLE: CHANGING STAN’S EASY MODE

Sick of these theories? Never fear! I’ll make an example on how to do it directly. Starring Stan Aileron as our Guinea pig subject. We’re gonna change a lot of things. We want Stan to fight a bunch of enemies in Easy mode. We’re going to create 6 stages for him. I’m going to make it cover everything you need to learn. Before we mess with him, let’s create a master plan. Stage1: Arena [No Wall] Enemy: Presea (lv20) and Asbel (lv20) -Covering multi-enemy, healing, No Wall, and From 1st method. Stage2: Plain Enemy: Nereid (lv30) Ally: Mary (lv50) -Covering ally, position, checked wall, ignore player, and same file characters. Stage3: Spacetime [No Wall] Enemy: Chloe (lv35), Sophie (lv45), and Anise (lv55) Ally: Yuri (lv50) -Covering Life method. Stage4: Midnight [No Wall] Enemy: Klarth (lv50), Nanaly (lv50) Ally: Jade (lv70) -Covering Time method. Stage5: Castle Enemy: Max (lv80) -Covering expanding stages. To reach Stage6, Stan must win all the fights. Stage6: Enduring Shrine of Zaude [No Wall] Enemy: Alexei (lv50) -Covering secret boss.

Page 13: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

13

2. Select the first Arena stage where you find Easy mode.

3. In the adv tab, unchecked the WL

4. In CPU1 & CPU2 tab, change the character like this.

5. Notice: a. Change their victory points to Player. b. Make sure if their victory point summed up, it reach 100. c. Effect will heal or hurt character specified when they defeated. d. Make sure both CPU has player as enemy checked.

Page 14: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

14

STAGE II

1. Change NowLoading right below the arena into NOWA

2. Open the Dusk stage. Change it to Plain and checked the WL.

3. Change Start Pos at 300

4. Open CPU1 & CPU2 tab. Change it like this.

5. Notice:

Page 15: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

15

STAGE III

1. Open the Rain stage. Change it to Spacetime. Unchecked WL.

2. Change CPU1, CPU2, CPU3, CPU4 like these.

3. Notice:

a. There’s some mistakes in the above screenshot. CPU1, CPU2, CPU3 need CPU4 as their enemy. In CPU4, unchecked CPU4 as enemy. Sorry, I’m too lazy to correct it.

b. CPU2 appears when CPU1 defeated. CPU3 appears when CPU2’s HP below 100. CPU4 appears when Player has less than 255 HP.

c. Victory points is 100 on CPU3. This means you win when CPU3 defeated even if CPU2 still alive.

Page 16: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

16

STAGE IV

1. Open the Eye of God stage. Change it into Midnight. Unchecked WL.

2. Change the CPUs like these.

3. Notice: a. If you can defeat CPU1 faster than 50 seconds, I recommend you to lower

the time to 40 secs - 30 secs because you have to wait CPU2 appears and defeat CPU2 to win the match.

b. Don’t forget that CPU4’s appearance is kinda random. CPU4 appears around 30 secs – 70 secs.

Page 17: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

17

STAGE V

1. First off, right click on the clear2 right after the Midnight stage.

2. Choose Add > Divergen

3. Leave divergen to ‘not’ and delete the previous clear2.

4. You see [E] after 0 right? Count how many rows from [E] to the last blank row.

Page 18: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

18

5. Let’s skip counting because I know it’s 37. Put appointment +37 in the divergen you just created before.

6. In the last blank row, right click and Choose Add > Special Demo.

7. Change the Demo into NowLoading.

8. A new blank row appear below the newly created special demo. Right click on it and choose Add > Special Fight.

9. Change the adv and CPU like this.

10. Notice: a. The divergen is just a way to skip the next row when certain condition are

met. The number show how much you skip rows. b. You can use this to go up as well. c. In the adv, you can check the ‘it show the round’ to see the usual round intro.

Page 19: ACS Story Mode Hack Tutorial

19

STAGE VI

1. Go to the blank row and create a Divergen. Change the condition into winning all fight. Change the appointment to +3. After that, select the new blank row and create a new special demo. Fill it with clear2.

2. In the new blank row again, right click and choose End. 3. Create a demo NOWB in the next blank row and create special fight. 4. Change the adv and CPU like this.

In the adv, you can check the ‘it show the round’ to see the usual round intro.
