The ACS is recognised by government as the independentProfessional Association for ICT in Australia.

The ACS provides the same legislative recognition for ICT Professionals afforded to professionals such as: accountants, lawyers and engineers.

An ICT professional is recognised by government as being an ACS Certified Professional (CP).

What is SFIA?

ACS Certified Technologist (CT)

The Certified Technologist (CT) focuses predominantly on the practical application of ICT.

A CT may be an expert in installing, testing and monitoring particular systems or applications. CT may also be an ICT professional early in their career.

ACS Certified Professional (CP)

A CP demonstrates competencies in a wide variety of products, technologies, industries, architectures and business skills.

They focus on using ICT to add value to organisations. They are question setters, innovators and go beyond solving clients problems.

CP’s are recognised locally and globally. They represent less risk and a capability and commitment to deliver a higher standard of ICT.
