This program provided funding for sachets that can safely treat 2.5 gallons of water. The movie “Carbon for Water,” directed and produced by Evan Abramson and Carmen Elsa Lopez, presents a similar program in Kenya where a company aims to provide 900,000 water filters to villagers to reduce the practice of boiling water via burning wood and decrease deforestation and CO2 emissions.
