ACROSPORT PERFORMANCE

It consists of designing and executing an acrosport choreography performance to music, based on the elements we have studied in class. You can also create new ones. To do this you need to decide which elements or figures you are going to use and join them together with choreographic links.

It is important to know that you need to switch roles (everybody needs to perform at least two roles: helper, lifter or the person being lifted).

Guidelines for the preparation of the performance:

- Each group will have between 6 and 9 people. Mixed groups will be positively appraised. (You will be marked up)

- Each person has to write his/her choreography on his/her notebook, including all the elements used on a picture or draw and an explanation of each one. You need to write the name of the song you are using. All the member of the group should have the same elements.

- The performance will last between 2 and 5 minutes.

- It will contain at least these figures: o One individual balance position (handstand, shoulderstand, footstand…) all the members of the group at the same time (they can be different or all the same one). o 5 balances in pairs . At least one balance on an all fours position, one shoulderstand on a partner´s knees and one figure standing on a partner´s shoulders. Remember you need helpers in all the figures.o One pyramid stood on someone´s hips. It can be with 2 or three lifters. o One pyramid on all fours. The person on the top can be standing up, in a handstand position, on their knees…

- The figures have to be kept at 3-5 seconds.

- There have to be a few moments where everybody is doing a figure (or several ones), the last ones to come into the figure can be the helpers, making sure that the acrobace is stable before going up on it. After 4 seconds, they´ll come down and help the others to come down.

- It has to be a marked beggining and marked end.

- Don´t forget the links between the figures (you can make rolls, cartwheels…)

- Clothing and concentration in the performance are both really important if you want a good mark. Occupying the space is very important as well.

- Be creative and remember it is better to do a a simple figure well than a complex one badly.

For your mark, I´ll take into account:

Group organization. Everyone should know where to go at every moment, even in the links

Correct execution of elements.

Number of elements (three, four, five, six or sever or more)

Whether helps are made properly, paying attention.

Performance complexity.

Esthetic. Clothes, movements…
