Blessings to Dr. Sheba M. Joseph (The Principal), Rev.Fr.Jins N.B., Mr. Sabin Baby (Editors) and all other members of the family of our St.Mary’s College, Sulthan Bathery.
All the civilizations of the world flourished on the banks of great rivers because water was an inevitable aspect of human development. We need to preserve the source of water and make the minimum use of water in our daily use. The scorching heat of the summer makes the ponds and wells dry and there is a felt need for preserving drinking water. As we travel across the country we see the vast stretch of barren land without any cultivation and people walking miles away in search of drinking water. Every year the summer season becomes increasingly unbearable, and along with it brings many contagious diseases. There is sufficient rain in our land during the monsoon. It is better to store maximum quantity of rain water as a precaution against the scarcity of water during summer. By cleaning the wells and nearby ponds a good quantity of rain water can be stored for future use. The coming monsoon can be a good occasion to harvest rain water. Our houses and buildings should not flow away the rain water. Our civic sense should be awakened to make necessary arrangements for utilizing the opportunities. Our institutions can work together and all who are related to our institutions can join hands to preserve water, an invaluable treasure in the earth. Let all our seasons become life giving and soothing for all living beings.
May God Almighty bless and keep you safe from all dangers and shower His wisdom and strength!
with blessings and Prayers
