You are creating an advertisement for a graphics project and you find a neat picture on the internet. Can you use it?

If it is for a class project, yes. However, to avoid plagiarism, you do

need to provide a reference to the website from which the picture came.  When you incorporate someone else's work into yours - words, graphics, etc. - it is extremely important to give credit to who created the work.

www.images.google.com – is NOT where you got the picture from. Go to the web site that houses the picture and give the credit from there.

A friend of mine wants to buy my project and use it as the flyer for his business. Can I do that?

NO – you are not allowed to make money off the art work unless you get written permission from the creator to use it.
