Norfolk Island is a 3 hour flight from Melbourne, a 2 hour flight from Sydney or Brisbane and a 1.5 hour flight from Auckland. The eroded remnants of a basaltic volcano active over 2 million years ago, leaves the Island approximately 8 kilometres x 5 kilometres in size and boasting 32kms of coastline. Even though the Island is small, you’ll want to the visit us again to make sure you see all of it. And why wouldn’t you when it is the home to 1800 of some of the friendliest people this side of the equator?

In 2010 Norfolk Island’s Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area, locally known as KAVHA, was inscribed on the World Heritage List as one of 11 sites forming the Australian Convict Sites Inscription.
